Tales from the OR

Ok, so it wasn't really a big operating room. My wife pulled through the laser eye surgery and is resting somewhat comfortably...aside from the sensation she described as "being next to a really strong onion but not being able to do anything about it." Thank you all for your kind wishes and thoughts.

i've resigned myself to being a nerdy glasses person for the rest of my life.

I'm a glasses/contacts person myself, but I've always thought about getting this surgery. I've just been afraid of the healing time and the cost. I'll be checking back here to see how she is doing!

I suppose that feeling is better than stabbing, sharp pains in your eyeball. that would be a little unnerving.

I guess it could be a lot worse, but that doesn't sound too fun, either.

Can we get weekly updates on how the progress goes? I've been thinking about that surgery for awhile, but I hear either horror stories or super-positive stuff. Makes me nervous.

Best wishes to the wife! :)
