Thanksgiving Reflections

I hope you all had a fantastic Thanksgiving. Beth and I went to the in-laws' place along with my parents and Beth's brother and his wife. People seem to think its really strange that we all get along so well. While it might be rare, I think its special. Kinda what the holiday is all about.

I don't think that's strange at all. Thanksgiving is about spending time with everyone who might be special in your life, not just specific family members. At our reunion yesterday, an uncle of mine (by-marriage only) showed up minus the actual by-blood aunt because they've been split up for the past six months. Even though she couldn't make it, he was still invited to come because he's been "part of the family" for so long. That's what a holiday is all about -- inclusion. :)

No, no, no my friend. The holiday is all about LEFTOVERS!

There's nothing better than leftover bean casserole...broccoli cheese casserole...and yes, cranberry sauce without the turkey. I love Thanksgiving side dishes. This is indeed a great holiday feast for vegetarians.

I am going to have a damn good lunch today...

Oh, and the thankfulness and goodwill thing was good too.

Ta ta!
