In My Shoes

What would you be doing today if you were in my shoes?

1. Finish oatmeal and begin drinking vast amounts of coffee.
2. Begin reviewing the 1,000 pages of documentation you received yesterday afternoon in preparation for a meeting at 12:30.
3. Catch a ride to DC for said meeting.
4. Interview clients about afformentioned documentation with full knowledge they do not know the answers to any possible questions I may have.
5. Catch ride back to the office.
6. Beat head against wall.
7. Go home.

Needless to say, if you don't hear from me much today, that's why.

I'm with you on the oatmeal and banging my head on the wall...have a great day

1, 6 and 7 in that order.
Make out you contracted a freak strain of sars or something ;)

Can you bring a piece of the wall with you? Having it in just 6 doesn't seem sufficient.

Sounds like a blast! (Try not to hurt your head on the wall...)

I'm glad i'm not in your shoes today, I don't fancy having a bad head! ;^)

Put the oatmeal on the wall and hit bang your head against it.

Art at its finest!

Doesn't sound like a happy day to me.. I've already had my oatmeal & coffee & coffee & more coffee :) In fact, my job day is over (it's 5 o'clock here :))

I'd add a couple vodka-in-a-flask-related steps in there if I were you...

Posted by: amalah at January 22, 2004 11:31 AM

I would be packing and jumping on a plane to London...

hey wait...that IS what I'm doing..... ;)

6. Beat head against wall.
Or better yet, bang someone else's head against the wall. : )

I'd forego the oatmeal completely and just inject caffeine directly into your veins rather than bother with the niceties of drinking coffee.

I also suggest bringing some sort of taser - I find it works wonders in encouraging people you're meeting with to find the answers you need ;) Plus, it's just fun.

Dude! I love WDC, such a great city!

How about a fine glass of wine? Or maybe something stronger, but just as fine.

Sounds like my day except for one more step where you read copious amounts of email. I get between 40 and 60 a day at work - ALL work related. YUCK.

1000 pages? Are they insane? Sounds incredibly tough. Sheesh. Hope you didn't hurt your head while you beat it on the wall. lol...Really though, I hope the next work day is better :o)

You know, it's lucky you live in Virginia. If you were in West Virginia you couldn't even ask that question :)
