Good morning everyone! Rejoice, for it is Friday!

Its been a long, long week. But also a good week. There were giant strawberries, another Thursday Haiku Smackdown, and the launch of The Judith Light Brigade. A very full week indeed. But of course, other things happened that I never really got a chance to share with you...

Abandon Hope All Ye Who Follow Mapquest. Mapquest got me lost. And Maryland is a large state. Especially when you're wandering around and Mapquest is only telling you to "turn left" and not even giving you a street name. Bastards!

Go To Work, Get A New Bathroom. My wife's taken a couple days off work. When I got dressed in the morning it was in our same old bathroom. When I returned yesterday evening, all the cabinets had been completely redone and they look awesome! I wonder what she's going to do today?

Red-Letter Day Goes Unmentioned...And Unphotographed. Earlier this week I noticed that we got new urinal cakes again! Sadly I didn't have the time to properly honor the occasion. Forgive me.

Mapquest has gotten me lost so many times, it's not even funny! Happy Friday!

Mapquest has indeed become the slacker child of the online maps community. Look to for some really good directions. They are still the younger sibling trying to please the parents by over-achieving. :)

I forgot, I think that was the first Cactus post I ever read: about the urinal cakes.

Happy Friday!! :)

Now I feel guilty. I've got the day off, and have nothing planned. And our bathroom could use a little spiffing up too. The cabinets could use a coat of paint.

Have a great weekend!!!

Me too! Ahhh, the nostalgia. It was my first comment, too. [wipes tear]

DUDE! Chris! I had the same issue with Mapquest two days ago. See? Here:

Mapquest tells me to turn on to a road from my road. I would except for the small forest of trees in the way! They blocked the road off, like six years ago!

I agree. Mapquest always gets me lost. And, to make matters worse, my address does not exist in their database. My apartment complex is three years old, but I guess that's too new for them.

The thing I find really funny about Mapquest is when it tells you to make a "slight right" onto a street. WTF does that mean?!>!

yahoo maps made me miss a wedding ceremony. i finally walked in just as the glass was being stomped on.

Another tip: If you use Mapquest, it also helps if the person you are driving to see has a freaking clue about where she works, nearby street names, etc. When the only landmark she can provide is a phantom Shell station on your left somewhere?

You're doomed.

Mapquest blows. Always has.

I was going to ask what Mapquest was. (I'm British) but I suppose the name is pretty self explanitary really!

Oh dear! Not the urnial cakes again!

Dang, you must work for a pretty profitable company. Can't imagine getting new urinal cakes so often. ;-)
