Knitting (As Percussion)

Just let me explain. I was trying out the hat my wife knit and, at the same time, figured her knitting needles would be great for a little chair percussion. I'm a musician - everything's percussion!

After awhile, they were simply decorative. C'mon! I'm tired! Its been a long week...

THAT? I totally understand. Zildjan loves me.

Okay, just a FEW things:

1) Those huge things are knitting needles? I have never seen knitting needles like that in my life. Not like I knit, but I know people who do. Which reminds me...done any knitting yourself recently?

2) Those first two pictures? You're lookin' totally "yo." As in "yo-boy." I assume you know what I mean, but if you don't, I can't help you. I will mention them, but I no longer talk about them...I am past that phase in my life.

3) Yellow walls in the foreground, green walls in the background, purple shirt...great colors going on.

4) By the way...the hat is really cute. Kudos to the knitter. :)

Heeheeheeee. I think you should wear the hat and needles, a la the last two pictures, to work tomorrow. It's Friday! Orange knitting needles as accessories = instant party!

Plus, it'll be an excellent conversation piece for the 4700 meetings you're liable to be stuck in. And if you get bored? Whip 'em out and start drumming on the table! Ta-da! Instant fun and excitment. Well, for you, anyhow.

Also, nice hat.

Apparently you haven't heard. They call people who hang out with musicians....drummers. ;^)

Wow! I love that hat your wife knitted for you. What a talent she is. :) Also...the last two pics reminded me of someone who I always suspected of wearing knitting needles in his head while trying to pass for a Martian...http://www.groovebunny.com/MFM.jpg

I wish I could knit...

I mean this in the nicest way possible... You are the 'Ultimate' in dorkdum.

I'm not even a musician, and everything is percussion to me. My father-in-law hates it. Maybe that's why I continue to do it.

I'm a drummer, and I do the same thing. Drives everyone around me nuts, but it's only because they don't appreciate the genius that is me.

Nice hat =)

I think you're just lucky she's using plastic, not metal. Or wood, if you were a vampire. ;->
