Plans for the Day Off

Finally, a day off. Despite some last minute work I had to tend to last night, I'm free!! Here's today's agenda, if you're interested...

1. Catch up on a few blogs.
2. Do my last minute Christmas shopping.
3. Continue the long quest to load much tunage into the iPod (in the queue to be ripped - Alice in Chains, Ed Harcourt, Guster, Ben Folds, Rufus Wainwright and Trashcan Sinatras).
4. Spend the $50 Amazon gift certificate I got yesterday.
5. Wrap all my Christmas presents.
6. Read.

Kind of a busy day but hey, at least it isn't work!

Sounds delightful. This is why I NEVER want to work. Sigh. Enjoy!

Wow! That does sound like a super busy day! But still enjoy your day cause like you said, at least it isn't work! :)

Nothing says Merry Christmas like some Alice In Chains! Great choice :)
Good luck getting that shopping done!

You lucky dog, I have to work tonight. It's snowing they say it will be windy tonight, should be a fun drive to work!

Aren't you also supposed to be stuffing your face with Christmas junk food?

Happy Holidays hon!

Ben Folds! I haven't heard of them in a while! Talk about a flashback... hehe. Hey, while you're out - could you finish my Christmas shopping for me, too? Hell, can you START it for me??

Posted by: SG at December 22, 2004 10:53 AM

Be careful with shopping! The last-minute fruitcakes are out...

Posted by: Kitty at December 22, 2004 11:01 AM

Oh BTW - I'm not calling YOU a fruitcake b/c you're doing last minute shopping.... I just meant that people get crazy this close to the holiday so watch your back. I had to clarify. :)

Posted by: Kitty at December 22, 2004 11:02 AM

enjoy it!

Might I suggest (in regards to the $50 Amazon gift certificate) that you consider the latest Twilight Singers album.

Greg Dulli ('member Afghan Whigs?) does a lot of cover songs - the best one is A Love Supreme.

sounds like fun ... glad that you are not working :) enjoy your day :)

Even busy days are better when they're on your own time-- enjoy the day!!

Posted by: bmh at December 22, 2004 11:18 AM

Yay! Xmas is so fun. I'm going shopping today too...gotta get some baskets to fill with goodies for the family. :-)

Posted by: Ginny at December 22, 2004 11:28 AM

That sounds like a fun day...enjoy it! I'm hoping to duck out of here early before I have to get on a plane. Maybe I could get my house in order before I take off for five days? Eh, probably not going to happen.

Was just listening to "Jar of Flies" last night. You just may be the first person who actually fills up a 40GB iPod with just mp3's!

Hope you and yours have a great Christmas. Enjoy New Years too. . .

Have a good on RC! spending money, reading, listening to music. sounds like the best day off EVER. I am sick...cold and getting ready to spend another F&?($" day in court tomorrow...way to spend the 23rd of december! I love you Justice Smith! If I don't get online much in the week (which is likely) I wish both you and the Fish a great holidays and prosperous new year!

You're very brave for going to the mall today.

Posted by: Carla at December 22, 2004 1:51 PM

Can you come round and wrap my pressies when you're done? I haven't even started, and every time I open the closet door, I get caught up in an avalanche of wrapping paper, presents, bags, receipts and general feelings of Grinchiness.

One of those last-minute presents had better be for me, buster! It's very sad to have nothing under the tree on December 22.

Please let it be Guster's Meowing Carol of the Bells that you're putting the queue.
