Little Bit of Doubt

Hiya, Internets. I don't know if you've noticed but lately I've felt a bit, well, unfocused. Maybe that's the best way to describe it. Stressed too. And when I get unfocused and stressed I start doubting myself and that never ends well. I feel kinda like I'm flailing wildly at life and not really making much in the way of progress. And the thoughts that run through my head? Usually sound something like oh shit everyone hates me and I'm going to get fired from my job and I'm a horrible husband and what kind of father will I be because I'm sure even the Internet hates me because I've totally derailed my site and I have, finally, jumped the shark and none of those thoughts are ever pleasant.

The other day I went back to some of my older entries. I pulled up the comments and noticed that the majority of people reading me a year ago are still dropping by. And, in addition to all those wonderful people, there are new people poking their heads in everyday! So, while all of this is running through that dangerous place I like to call my brain, let me ask you a few things (and please keep in mind that I'm not fishing for compliments or comments). Consider it a customer satisfaction survey...or something.

- What in the world keeps you coming back here?
- What's missing? What's not here that you'd like to see? What would you like to see more of?

Posted by Chris at March 15, 2005 8:22 AM

i'm still here, if a little quieter.

i keep coming back because reading your site keeps me from havign to do all the actual legwork in deciding what CDs to buy and books to read.

what's missing... hm. well, when you first started writing, you didn't talk about your wife TOO much, seems like you were keeping personal life stuff a bit more private, but now you freely talk about your wife and all of that... but that's gotten a little stale. i think it's time you threw a kid into the mix.

Posted by: lucky at March 15, 2005 8:34 AM

Hmmm, Cause you called me a fearless blogger! No, no I'll get back to you on this, Its only me second day.

Posted by: Krista at March 15, 2005 8:43 AM

Keep coming back because of the way that you write and the honesty and humor of it all. You are actually one of the people who got me interested in blogging.

Needed: more stories of the past.

Posted by: Neil at March 15, 2005 8:44 AM

I come by because I like the way you write, I think you're funny, kind, smart and we seem to fall in line on many social issues.

As for what's missing? Darling boy. It's your site. I wouldn't presume to tell you what to write more of. As long as you're happy and still having fun with the internet madness that's all that matters as far as I'm concerned.

Don't let the negative self-talk get you down. You're a loving, caring person and I have no doubt that you'll make a wonderful father and I'm sure your wife will attest to the fact that you're a great husband. Hell, she's got the bling to prove it! ;-)

Hope the mood lifts soon.

Heh, Lucky.

Well, today I'm back because my bookmark to MY blog is down so I'm going to your 'links' page.

I'm enjoying watching the changes. Parenthood is the most life-altering experience in my life and, I imagine, for a lot of people. Don't fight it. As with most things (like marriage) your enjoyment of your impending fatherhood is directly proportionate to your participation in it. You can coast along the top of it (or try to, anyway) and be okay, for a while... but until you open yourself up to the great lows, you'll never get the great highs. It's only natural that your site would reflect that.

Wow. I'm damn philosophical before my morning sugar-free Red Bull.

Posted by: Stacy at March 15, 2005 8:46 AM

i'm still here (was i here a year ago?)...
what keeps me coming back? your humor, happiness, hopes, fears and honesty.

what's missing? nothing that i can see... as long as you come here and write what you want, write what feels right then all is fine. if that means you skip a morning or evening or even a whole day, that's fine. just be honest with yourself and don't worry about us fleebs.

Posted by: monique at March 15, 2005 9:09 AM

Love the new site for the Beanette! It's so cute! Congrats guys! Forgive me for needing catch up time, I think you rawk. Can't think of anything to change/add/ anything!

Posted by: Jade at March 15, 2005 9:10 AM

I come here because you rock. I probably started reading your blog cos I'm a nosey bitch. I keep reading it because you're, basically, a lovely and genuine guy. This is not that common a trait in a guy, which is probably why most ur readers are girls...? Your honesty is often a breath of fresh air in a blogosphere full of people who bullshit their way to popularity.

What's missing is more stupid pictures of you and audioblogs.

On another note, as actions speak louder than words...

pull yourself together boy!! The thoughts you're having are all wrong. You know you rock, and you have the visitor stats to prove it.

You idiot.

Posted by: Anakalia at March 15, 2005 9:13 AM

I keep reading because I think your HOT!!!

Just kidding... I read because I love to hear about everyone's day-to-day musings and you happen to be very witty when writing.

What's missing??? Well honestly just a little bit of color.. So much white.

Posted by: NovemberChild at March 15, 2005 9:28 AM

I am a very new reader (the last month or so) but I really enjoy your writing style and your candor, talking about various topics.

I think a blog is personal and you should write what you are moved to write and not worry about what people want to hear. At least for me, I read people's sites because of a writing style and how I can relate to things going on in their lives, and the way the deal with those things. Not EVERY post is going to thrill me, but that's not why you write, is it?

Just keep doing what you're doing, I say. I'll keep reading!

Posted by: donna at March 15, 2005 9:48 AM

You're just a great writer and I enjoy reading about the funny, interesting and sometimes wacky things you share with us. Once the Beanette is born, you most definitely must share photos of her! Just keep doing what you're doing. :o)

Posted by: Milly at March 15, 2005 9:56 AM

Hmmm honestly, I came back because when I was reading no one, you were still reading me. You know all the reasons why I left, and they have nothing to do with your writing.

I do think a little color might brighten things up, but I tell you this, it's your site, it's your thang, and we love you as it is.

Posted by: Autumn at March 15, 2005 9:56 AM

We just think you are swell, that's all I have time for now, sorry!

Posted by: JuJuBee at March 15, 2005 10:06 AM

What keeps me coming back: Conversations between you and Beth, good writing, funny repartee, and gobs and gobs of pictures (which you've been totally lacking on by they way! :P ). Oh, also because you always make sure to respond to your comments and you respect all your readers and you're, you know, one of those GOOD guys you so seldom hear about.

What's missing: Naked pictures of Bea Arthur. Who doesn't want some of that?

Posted by: RockStar Mommy at March 15, 2005 10:12 AM

I came back because I heard there was free food.

Posted by: Busy Mom at March 15, 2005 10:15 AM

i think this post is a prime example of why i keep coming back: we have a lot of the same opinions, views, and worries. because i'm still in that "twenty-something" stage and still trying to find my footing in the "grown-up" world... i have a lot of those inner doubts. i'm always concerned that others might not like me and that i'm doing a horrible job at something and that i just don't measure up to everyone else. but when i find people that feel the same way, it doesn't make me feel so weird and psycho. it gives me comfort and hope that growin up isn't all that bad and scary; and that just because i "grow-up", it doesn't mean that i have to lose my sense of humor or my inner child. that's a good feeling.

but also... i love coming here because of your writing. like i've said to you before, you really do have a command over the written word. you should seriously be a writer. you just have that spark, and i have great respect for that.

as for what i would want to change... the answer to that is nothing. you don't need to change for anyone else other than yourself, your wife, and your soon-to-be-born child (because they are directly effected by the things you do/say/etc). i like reading your blog because you are who you are. there is no need to change what you do here. not for any of us.

Posted by: Judy at March 15, 2005 10:21 AM

I think we all have low days like like that. The thing is you realize that you have nothing to worry about because you have a great family, great friends and loyal readers (like me!). And if something bad does happen, it won't be that bad because you have so many people supporting you in your time of need.

I come here because I enjoy reading your stories and I learn about bands I've never heard of, and you help clue me into serious issues because I'm not a very serious person. And I'm not leaving, so there.

Posted by: Kitty at March 15, 2005 10:21 AM

I found you through the Judith Light Brigade and thought you were very funny. Also, I know nothing about music and so when you do a music post, I learn something new. I agree with you politically and those are fun posts. Basically, I am entertained by you.

Posted by: Dabney at March 15, 2005 10:24 AM

I think I found your blog back in October of last year. Were you on BE? The reason I keep coming back is your sense of humor and your personal writing style.

Posted by: ann marie at March 15, 2005 10:56 AM

I'm a new-to-your-blog person and at the moment, I can't remember where I found you. I enjoy your writing style and your sense of humor. I'll keep coming back as long as you keep writing (or until I run out of hours in the day to read blogs).

Posted by: Lisa at March 15, 2005 11:02 AM

I come for your wit and to peek into the life you share online. I can't ask for anything else.

Posted by: Anne at March 15, 2005 11:02 AM

awww Chris, you're the best! Do you know that you're the only GUY I read every day? Yep.

You're just going through a little bit of a weird time b/c of ALL THE CHANGES IN YOUR LIFE. That's perfectly normal. I'd be worried if you didn't feel like you're flailing.

Just keep doing what you're doing, babe. We love ya.

Posted by: kalisah at March 15, 2005 11:10 AM

IMHO, part of the allure of any personal blog is the evolution of the writer. When I started mine last year, I did a lot of political rants; nowadays I rarely go that way, primarily because I enjoy babbling on about my life, but also because I enjoy looking into the windows that others open up. In doing so I realized that I'm a much better Jason than I am a Dennis Miller or Maureen Dowd. So keep doing what you do. And if that doesn't work, post some pictures of nude celebrities.

Posted by: Jason at March 15, 2005 11:10 AM

i just started reading you two weeks ago, but i love your blog because 1) you post on a regular basis, 2) your posts are personal and talk about your every day experiences, 3) unless you are writing complete bullshit, your blog is true, and real, and 4) you seem like a real cool person with a big heart and a wonderful budding family that you want to share with everyone. That is a great quality... also... your layout is not boring, and you respond ;)

by the way, i noticed you changed your picture... did you not like the one with that thing on your head? i did! it was fun!

Posted by: Dubs at March 15, 2005 11:19 AM

i came by cause of granolaspice. she was a dland gal i met & actually i designed her first template & she morphed it into what it is today! Anyho, you were a click from there & what has kept me coming back is not only my fascination with reading about other people's lives but you are always great at responding individually to people's comments & you give me a great laugh. most of the time in the morning i could use a good laugh!

no suggestions at all. you're *perfect* just the way you are!

*perfect meaning as close to perfection as anything can be. =)

Posted by: angel at March 15, 2005 11:26 AM

I think you know by now if 25+ (and you'll probably get hit with 50 comments, at least) people, mostly women, find you interesting. Especially these two beautiful women, who will love forever. And doesn't that take away a lot of the worry that you'll be a bad dad? Women think you're interesting, thus you may somehow escape the dad-who-doesn't-understand-me syndrome.

But even if she claims you don't? You do.

I think you're really funny, and you're the only blog I play out loud to friends and The Boy. So I guess you need to audioblog more. ;)

Posted by: alektra at March 15, 2005 11:40 AM

2nd trimester, right? You're right on schedule. Introspection, self analysis as a parent-to-be is necessary to get to the next level: self-assured (on the outside) , but freaked-out parent. Go with it and take us with you because we're all voyeurs at heart and we can take it. Personally, I love wry, sarcasm and I still laugh at your baby-naming conversation played out with the parental units. giggle. Oh and you remember RUSH. Yah, that too.

Posted by: lissa at March 15, 2005 11:45 AM

What keeps me coming back... For WHATEVER reason, you and Beth seem like people I would hang with if you lived here in M-town. Like I can see us getting together and yakking it up.

Missing... hell I don't know. I like it when you review CDs... but I also like the old college stories too.

Posted by: Snidget at March 15, 2005 11:46 AM

Well I haven't been commenting for a year but I'm still around, I lurk here more now. For some reason, I'm intimidated but posts with alot of comments, everything has already been said I guess... and you got alot of those. ;) I would love to see you do more book and CD reviews though.

Posted by: Carla at March 15, 2005 11:54 AM

What's missing is clearly more odes to your beautiful wife and her smokin' ass.

Posted by: Mrs. Cactus at March 15, 2005 12:13 PM

More stories about crack Ho's, and anecdotes from prison experiences, and how-to articles on pipe-bombs, graphic surgical photos, suicide note of the week, and finally, lots more PRON!

1. because you put your iPod box on your head, took a picture, and put it up on your blog. it's hard not to like someone who does that. that and i like your stories. and pictures of kitties. i'm a sucker for pictures of kitties doing their wacky kitty things.

2. more pictures of people [and kitties] with stuff on their heads. ;)

LOL! The more things change, the more they stay the same. :) Write about whatever, Chris. Seems to be working just fine.

Posted by: Jon in Michigan at March 15, 2005 12:38 PM

That unfocused feeling is so common and normal when you're about to have a baby. Any self doubt you might have jumps to the surface. I think it's our way of really looking at ourselves through the eyes of our child and deciding what we might not like so much. Luckily it often leads to some kind of transformation for the better.

Posted by: Monica at March 15, 2005 12:53 PM

I personally think you have a great deal of stuff together! I mean, you started a blog for your unborn child- how cool is that? I think our blogs change and evolve, but yours is as good as it ever was. (which brings to mind that song...'same as it ever was')

I may not comment as frequently, but I keep coming back because dang it, I like you - you're one of the kindest bloggers out there. I love reading about you and Beth, and all of your thoughts as you embark upon this new stage in your life. You're doing great. Any kid would be proud to call you dad!!

Posted by: Sweety at March 15, 2005 1:11 PM

Hey Chris!

I lurk often, post sometimes...I drop by because I think you're honest and funny. You have a knack for sharing your daily thoughts as well as more intimate also have a knack for expressing things in a way that most of us can't verbalize...ya done good, kid!

As for what's's your site technically...nothing...but if I had to answer...i'd probably choose (as others have) more pictures (stupid ones...good ones...funny ones)...they are particularly amusing, and hey, who doesn't like to look at pictures???..:*)

Posted by: wn at March 15, 2005 1:19 PM

Hmmm... I guess I come here because I like the way you think/spill your guts onto the page. You're kinda funny in that "not trying to be funny" way. I guess that's it. Oh AND you send me presents ;)

What's missing? I don't know. What else have you got to offer us? Bring it, Cactus!

PS I feel the same way about "flailing wildly at life." I just panic and get over it. Then I panic some more.

Posted by: Gweny at March 15, 2005 1:36 PM

What keeps me coming back. Your wit and charm. Your sincerity, the fact that I can see your side and Beth's side of most stories. That you are from Houston. That you make an effort to respond to every comment I make. (which is more than I can say for myself).

I don't think anything is missing here. Don't lose site of the fact that yes, on some level, we blog for the interaction and amusement of others, but this is your blog, and therefore it is up to you what to write about. All of the things that you have been writing on here are a direct reflection of what is going on in your life. You are having a baby... it's normal to go through some changes.

Don't worry, we'll still be here, regardless of what "material" you are covering!

Posted by: Jazzy at March 15, 2005 1:43 PM

I keep coming back because of your writing style. Your blog is casual, thoughful and incredibly funny. I also love the photos and the audio blogs.

The truth is I really keep coming back because I'm trying to figure out your secret to how you put in so many hours at work, read so many books, spend time with your wife and still find time to post usually two or more times a day as well as reply to the comments you receive.

Do you sleep?

Posted by: wendy at March 15, 2005 1:53 PM

Why do I keep coming back? You make me laugh. Plain and simple. In my life, full of kids, disabled kids, husband and general BS, you above all else, can bring a smile to my face. And most of the time a full out laugh. I love reading and listening to you (that's what I think is missing BTW, I love when you do an audioblog!) anyway, I just love coming here and being a "part" of this all with you and Beth. You 2 are what my husband and I never got to be.

On a side note, I am here every single day, sometimes several times just to see if you've added anything new. I rarely comment. Why? I feel guilty as hell knowing you are going to be sitting at home/work feeling that you have to come up with SOMETHING to say to my very boring comments in your blog. It's to much stress on me to be honest :) I hereby give you permission to either A) not reply at all or B)just send a blank email my way.

Posted by: Lori at March 15, 2005 2:00 PM

Hm. I'm not really new to your site, but I haven't been around for a year either, since I was just learning about blogs a year ago. Why do I come to your site? For all the reasons people have already mentioned, but most of all, because it seems real. I mean, the theme blogs (political/funny/whiney/etc etc) are interesting and all, but really, who's all that stuff all the time? I like how your blog reflects your mood.

Incidentally, that's why I decided to throw "Chaotic" in my blog title. I promise no consistency whatsoever--not even in quality, heh.

What's missing? More hot pictures of you! Hahaha. Sorry, couldn't resist.

Posted by: Spring at March 15, 2005 2:36 PM

What keeps me coming back? You are freakin' hilarious! I love a good laugh and you provide that on a regular basis. I also will keep coming back, now, because I have to keep track of BabyWatch 2005! What sort of doula would I be if I didn't follow along with the pregnancy and growth of your daughter??? (speaking of doulas, Got yours yet?)

As for what's missing...I'd like more audioblogs, but that's not a necessity. I'd love a "Song of the week" audioblog or something like that. How about excerpts at the end of the month from the books you read? I always look up the books you've read, and if they peak my interest, I read them.

Keep up the good work. And by the way...UGH! Now you've added ONE MORE BLOG to my daily reading list! And I can't NOT read this one because it belongs to Beanette!

Posted by: zanie at March 15, 2005 2:40 PM

I keep coming back because you're funny and smart and we have much of the same views. I like hearing about your little family. It's your blog, so I'm not going to make any suggestions...just keep it up, brother!

Posted by: Heather at March 15, 2005 2:50 PM

I like it just cause you seem not to take things too serious. You have a good sense of humor about things. Plus I liked your picture with the iPod box on your head. The new quasi Johnny Deep one scares me a bit. I always enjoy seeing pictures, yet I never even seem to take those anymore. Just keep on going, the site is awesome!

Posted by: Chris at March 15, 2005 2:53 PM

What keeps me coming back? You are pretty dang funny and you're just an all-around nice guy. Even when you don't have a whole lot to talk about, you still manage to be entertaining. I don't comment much - but since you asked.

Posted by: Kris at March 15, 2005 3:14 PM

I read your site everyday for some pretty basic reasons: You post frequently, and those posts are always well-written and fun to read. Which is no easy feat, trust me.

Also? I'm a girlfriend and wannabe actress, so I have no idea what it's like to be a husband, father-to-be and a wannabe rock star. So I get a daily peek into another person's life by reading this site. I know that's a little voyeuristic, but there you go.

Added bonus? You never whine. I appreciate that. If I wanted to read whining, I'd read my own site. :)

Posted by: SpaceCase at March 15, 2005 3:28 PM

You make me laugh and inspire me. Your writing style has the feel of an old friend dropping a line about their day. You write with that splash of sarcasm that I always have running through my head and show a great sense of humor.

Posted by: myllissa at March 15, 2005 3:31 PM

Well, I'm pretty recent too I guess. I came back because I liked your writing and you post everyday. I decided to link because I realized I could come here every day and be entertained.

And if you were focused all the time, your site would lose that easygoing feel. Focused people are more intense.

I can't see anything you would need to do that you haven't already.

Posted by: Sepra at March 15, 2005 3:37 PM

Enjoy the humor, the honesty, the random things that are posted often. Your writing style is nice and that makes reading the site enjoyable. Also, it provides some testosterone in this women heavy world of bloggers. I have to show support for fellow guy bloggers.

Posted by: smartjuice at March 15, 2005 3:46 PM

it's been awhile since i've visited. but your entry today.. i can relate.. been feeling much the same here as well. it's amazing to me that you can keep a site going along with all your other life demands.. much less a great site with book, movie, and music reviews as well.

Posted by: andrea at March 15, 2005 4:18 PM

I read you practically daily because: you make me laugh, you make me think, you make excellent observations about peopple and the world in general. Scares me sometimes how much we think alike cuz you're you and I'm a forty-something year old woman (Thanks so much for the birthday wishes!) In a weird-pseudo-parent way too, I enjoy watching (reading) you grow and learn. Blows me away sometimes how on-track you are for a youngster!
All you need more of is music, boy, MUSIC!!!

Posted by: JuJu's Mom at March 15, 2005 4:24 PM

I don't know about everybody else, but I read your site b/c of my self-destructive nature and......nah, not really. :)

You rock...simply put. I won't take the time to go into all the reasons.

Posted by: Junkie at March 15, 2005 4:32 PM

Well I'm going to be honest here. The pictures and humorous writing style are what keep me coming back. I haven't seen a lot of the more moody photos lately but the writing is still there!

What would I like to see more of, thats a tough one. Too much change on an already winning formula can be a bad thing. I would like to see more of your photography as you have a great eye for it.

Excuse me while I go wash my lips off now!

I come back day after day because you write about stuff that my friends in the "real world" write about: books, movies, parenthood, politics. Also your stories of clumsiness makes me feel less like a freak. (or I like to tell myself that).

Posted by: Jessica at March 15, 2005 6:07 PM

I come back b/c I want to know what's up with you--just like I would any friend.

What's missing is the correct use of 'its' vs. 'it's'. ;-P

I keep coming, but not necessarily commenting, because I love how you write, and that if I do comment, you respond. You're a nice person and seem very honest. Plus, I love your sense of humor!

Okay, so I'm sixteen, but it doesnt mean I don't understand some of the things you go through, and I especially like online communities because people can't tell me how annoying I am and to shut up. They listen, regardless of what I have to say, and you're no different.

What can you change? You can adopt me because I don't like my parents and you're so cool and you love me so much. I dunno, you could maybe change stuff on the layout, because you are the most content with your layout person I've ever met. You can have more contests where I win. And you can let us listen to your music because I've been dieing to hear it. Last but not least, more stories of you as a kid. They're funny. =D

1. You are a good writer and you write about interesting things. PLUS, you write about a variety of things so that we don't get bored!

2. More reviews, maybe. But, seriously, I have no suggestions. You're PURRRFECT!

I read you every day (and then some!) and whether you are writing about funny things, work, books, being introspective, impending parenthood or a mood, I like the fact that your writing makes me think (and laugh most of the time!). Your photography is pretty damn good too! You just generally rock!

Oh, Chris Chris Chris. Whatever! You know you've got it goin' on. But if there were ANYTHING I would suggest for your site...hmmm...I guess it would be more with the crazy-relatives-stories. They are my favorite things to read from anyone!

I miss you retelling the occurence of naked accidents with the dresser and such.

All the reasons I read Rude Cactus:

I read your blog, therefore I am.

You are better than TV! And besides, I can't watch TV when I am at work. hahaha.

Chris, once again, your humanity is showing! We love to share with you your full range of emotions, including self-doubt. It's that certain "je ne sais quoi" that you have that keeps us coming back for more. I feel like you and Beth are sort of the popular people in school, except you're both nice AND smart and I am just happy if you acknowledge my existence once in a while! It doesn't hurt that you're both hot!

I have no time to read these copious comments, so I have no idea if I am repeating someone else. You obviously have a great sense of style, great taste in music, books, culture, politics, etc. I guess we like to live vicariously through you in some way. My theory on blogging is mostly that in this fast-paced world, some of us need to feel a connection to people who we like and people who might be like us. It's affirming to me that there is a community of people who are expressive, creative, and interested in more than chasing the almighty dollar. Our corner of the internets is basically a mutual admiration society and that is a good thing.

That's it in a nutshell. I'll try to write a longer comment next time. =)

Hmmm...what keeps me coming back? Cause you're so human. The first entry that I read of yours about your July 4th experience, that was filled with such lovely compassion and was so refreshing from all the peacock feather puffing I sense when reading other male blogs. The sensitivity and love you show when writing about Beth and now the Lima Bean, it's beautiful stuff and I know for people like me who are still searching for the most perfect relationship possible it gives me hope. I'm sure I can think of other reasons too, like your sense of humor and impeccible taste in music I can list. And lastly, the shallow part of me...the fact that you are smoking hot and like to post pictures of yourself doesn't hurt either. lol

And I am still waiting for RadioCactus Live!

I like you...I like you...I like you.

Seriously, you're actually here, on this page. I've never met you, but the you I know on the internet seems like someone I've known in person for a long time. I go away because I'm terribly busy, and when I come back you've done all this fun stuff. As long as you keep talking, I'm going to keep stopping by, and as long as that's the case, there's nothing missing.

I waited to write since I read this post the other day because I wanted to think about it. I mean, good question, right? Why the hell do I keep coming back here after all this time? ;)

Because I know I'm not going to get hit with "teh stoopid" when I come here. I'm not going to get caught up in some melodramatic bullshit. You're honest without getting all preachy or screechy or trying to be all pseudo-inspirational. It feels like a friendly, comfy, warm place to put my feet up, have a drink and some laughs and good conversation, after a day of dealing with morons and whatever other irritants I've come across.

You're polite, real, honest, intelligent, funny, entertaining, and you basically share my views on most things. Coming in here is like going to a favorite coffee shop with good friends I don't see that often. We'll relax, talk about this or that without being trite or patronizing or competitive.

In short, I like you. You don't make me want to slap you. :)

Posted by: Iki at March 19, 2005 8:03 AM

Also? Because you say stuff like "I'm sure the Internet hates me." *lol*

Posted by: Iki at March 19, 2005 8:04 AM

I came here because you were on somebody's links page. I made a comment and went on my way. Then you emailed me about the comment. I probably never would have come back if you hadn't done that. Now you're in my favorites and I check your site everyday I come to work. You're funny and smart and pretty consistent. I love that there will always be something new here for me to read, and most times, it's something I actually want to read. Last, I like your writing style. It's more like you're chit chatting with me than posting to your blog. To wrap this up, you're pretty awesome and good at what you do.
