Another Weekend, Another Project

Last weekend's project? The garden. This week? The spare upstairs bathroom.

Yes, those are ducks on the shower curtain. Beth finally got the duck in the tub she's always wanted.

Nice ducks! You nest more than any man I have ever heard of!

Looks really good. I love the ducks, very cute.

You still want Lucy and Prudence, our two orphan mallards, right? right? They're all boxed up and ready to go... I figured even good grandparents wouldn't offer up such a gift. The bathroom looks great- and I like the continuation of greens used in the nursery. Good work!

Hey! I painted my bathroom (in my old house) that same color. Replaced the same outdated light fixture with the one you chose too. Too funny!

Oh, and you know you could paint your vanity white if you were so inclined.

how lovely! you're free mid-August, right? to come paint and swap lights at my new house...

i saw a toilet seat that had bubbles and little duckies in it... yes, little duckies trapped in clear acrylic! i totally thought of Beth when i saw that... i'll have to find it online and send the link her way.

Very nice. Looks like you have a little extra storage space as well as a fresh new look. It's always a boost (for me at least) to get something upgraded in the house.

Don's hanging new wallpaper in the entry way. And the nice part is that even choosing from a small piece, I actually love it on the walls. Unfortunately, that isn't always the case.

that looks awesome. You could start your own home decorating mag with before & afters like that!

love the colors!

Wow! That's great! Ours is an "Ocean wonder" full of dolphins and whales - I love the ducks - that's something new.

Looks cool. I have exactly the same shower curtain in my bathroom. Couldn't pass it up when I saw it...;)

ooh, i like that color! i keep telling my dad that i want to repaint our bathroom, but i think he wants to wait to redo the whole thing and add another bathroom downstairs. our bathroom is getting gross. :(

Were the lights over the mirror difficult to take out and install? It looks awesome.

I totally dig the cabinet over the toilet from Target! Granted yours may not be from target, but I always see them there and think how I wish I had a bathroom something like that could work in!

Dude... no pictures of the garden? What the hell is the matter with you? You know how I love dirt. How can I totally plagiarize your garden if you never show it?

Posted by: Iki at June 6, 2005 8:04 AM

Good light fixture. It's all in the lights.

Posted by: wn at June 6, 2005 8:08 AM

I like the ducks, very cool. I am also with Iki about the garden pics...where are they?

Posted by: Michelle at June 6, 2005 8:21 AM

We have ducks in our bathroom too. At Target you can get those little non-slip things for the bottom, in rubber duck shape too. Ours won't stick to the bottom, so we've used them for decoration around the top of the tub, and one on the top of the toilet lid. They also have some rockin' towels, and hand towels, plus excesories...

I love me some rubber duckies!

Very nicely done. Get as many of those home improvement projects done as you can before the beanlet arrives!

I'm starting to think that Beth should loan you out for extreme makeovers at the homes of other internet people...

Posted by: SueBec at June 6, 2005 9:41 AM

VERY nice! The redo is much more welcoming and fun. I think the lights really warm it up and make it brighter at the same time. Love it all, color, ducks, lights. Bra-VO!

Where did you get the duck curtain? I have one that's just barely hanging on for its life, and haven't been able to find a new anywhere.

Posted by: Hersch at June 6, 2005 5:14 PM

I love the lime green!!! If it's not truly lime green, then I apologize, cause it sure as heck look like lime green from here!

Posted by: Indigo at June 6, 2005 8:18 PM

It sounds like you've been keeping yourself extremely busy lately. Digging up your lawn, preparing for baby, painting bathrooms...don't you ever sit still? :)

Posted by: Zandria at June 6, 2005 10:33 PM
