Friday...In PJs

After a whopping total of eight long meetings over two days in two different states plus the District of Columbia, I'm working from home today. In my PJs. The only thing that would be better is if I didn't have so much to do. But hey, it's Friday. And did I mention, I'm in my PJs? Posted by Chris at October 14, 2005 8:13 AM

mmmmmm...i love fridays in my pjs. i'm working on my thesis at home in my pjs. it's like a virtual pajama party ;)

Posted by: suze at October 14, 2005 8:18 AM

PJs would be nice....I am still a little sleepy b/c my cat decided it would be nice to try and squeeze under the covers with me an hour before I had to get up!! But Happy PJ Friday!! WOOHOO the weekend is here!!!!

Posted by: Michelle at October 14, 2005 8:25 AM

Hmm...Friday in PJs...MUCH better than my Friday afternoon in a penguin suit (err...Court Gown).

Have a good one dude!

Posted by: wn at October 14, 2005 8:37 AM

My favorite place to work - home. Hey, that's were I'm working today too.

Have a good one. Sorry about all those meetings.

Posted by: cassie-b at October 14, 2005 8:42 AM

I suppose we take what we can get.

Posted by: Autumn at October 14, 2005 8:54 AM

Yes! Because? When you office at home, the dress code is TOTALLY PJs thankyouverymuch!

All hail the PJs!

Posted by: Pammer at October 14, 2005 9:02 AM

Lucky you still in your PJ's, pretty soon I am going to have to wear a full fisherman's rainsuit out of my building and to the car or vice versa- keep posted to the news, as I fear CT might very well either sink or float away-

Posted by: stephanie at October 14, 2005 9:12 AM

Am so jealous of the pjs. Happy Friday!

Posted by: Fraulein N at October 14, 2005 9:12 AM

Stop rubbing it in. I was dressed this morning at 5:30am. Doesn't matter that my sweatshirt was on inside out AND backwards either.

Posted by: Theresa at October 14, 2005 9:15 AM

Hey! Me too! But I don't really call what I do work - it's all fun!

Posted by: Marie at October 14, 2005 9:18 AM

cool picture!

Posted by: Joy at October 14, 2005 9:22 AM

Do you EVER go into work on Fridays? You're lucky that you get to have an extra day with your family :) Have fun.

Posted by: RockStar Mommy at October 14, 2005 9:31 AM

I like coming to work in my PJs, but they don't like me doing that because my Pjs have holes in them and it frightens the politicians. So now I just take off my trousers when I am at my desk, it's a great feeling knowing you're naked from the waist down and that and people don't know it when they come to visit you.

"Oh sure, I can modify that new confidentiality clause" (snigger, I have no trousers on!

I am such a prankster.

Posted by: zeno at October 14, 2005 9:44 AM

i envy you. if this blah weather doesnt make way for the sun sometime soon i might just lose the will to go into work at all....not that its ever been that strong to begin with.

Posted by: steph at October 14, 2005 9:46 AM

I don't see a mug of coffee on that desk!

Posted by: Betti at October 14, 2005 9:47 AM

I am working from home in my PJ's too. But this is not unusual.

Posted by: jen at October 14, 2005 9:53 AM

Are you trying to make me jealous??? Because you've succeeded!

Posted by: Queen of Ass at October 14, 2005 10:35 AM

so. so. jealous. except the 8 meetings thing... you can keep that. :) happy friday!

Posted by: Judy at October 14, 2005 10:40 AM

8 meetings?! 2 states and a district? You totally deserve being at home today in your PJ's... as long as you still have bedhead.... that's crucial... PJ's and bedhead... I always love Forrest more in the mornings with his bedhead :)

Posted by: Corinne at October 14, 2005 10:44 AM

yep, pjs are a bonus. :-)

Posted by: Ginny at October 14, 2005 11:35 AM

I'm at work, in the actual office in pj's so i win.

kidding of course.

and i can one-up your meetings in two states blah blah blah.

i had to sit in on an all-staff meeting yesterday with 400 of my closest colleagues and listen to a boring speech that they tried to make exciting by playing sherlock holmes music and having one of the staff dress up as him to ask questions about the "new" policy that's being implemented across the country that doesn't really change anything even though they've been working on it for about 10 years. at one time i was hoping that the speech about "can a tsunami hit here" was a joke and we would actually be struck down by one and put me out of my misery.

Posted by: Grace at October 14, 2005 11:40 AM

Ohhh, I am so jealous of the PJs!

Posted by: Heather at October 14, 2005 11:41 AM

I keep trying to institute PJ day here, but they won't go for it. Funny that.

Posted by: Kathryn at October 14, 2005 11:46 AM

Well, I get to wear jeans to the office today!. Not really the same is it?

Posted by: Jenn at October 14, 2005 12:12 PM

hey, i'm home in my pj's as well. but i don't even have to work. i have the day off. and all next week as well. i plan to spend as much of it as possible in my pj's.

do you think i can were my pj's to my cousin's wedding tonight? would she mind?

Posted by: jodi at October 14, 2005 12:37 PM

So jealous, Chris. The pic's really rad and glowy...
I just got home from one job and am headed out to the other shortly. So I think just maybe, after work #2 and running up to work #1 to get my paycheck and hitting the bank, I may just take this rainy old day and crawl into bed with a book, which of course will fall asleep 50 pages into. (That's early for me...I almost always read books in one sitting)

Posted by: Heather at October 14, 2005 12:44 PM

Nice! The work part sucks, but the from home part rocks.

I had to come in today, but I'm sneaking out an hour early b/c J is in a caesar salad competition this evening. Keep your fingers crossed that he wins! :)

Posted by: Kitty at October 14, 2005 12:51 PM

Hope you had fun!

I wish I could stay home for a day. I got a nasty cold that's going to kill me if I work another day. Which will be tomorrow :/

Posted by: nina at October 14, 2005 1:14 PM

I loved working from home in my pj's! I go to school part time, so I can stay casual a lot, it's a good and bad thing. Alan used to work from home when he did contracting work for MSFT, as much as I loved the PJ's it's too easy to get lazy and used to it.

Enjoy your day off.

RYC, I let you know what happnens tonight.

Posted by: Michele at October 14, 2005 1:31 PM

Yes you did, and I'm so jealous!! only I was in my PJ's yesterday while you were in all those meetings. It sucks being at work today, though. You're so lucky. (awesome picture, by the way.. as always)

Posted by: ava at October 14, 2005 1:37 PM

So. Jealous. (!!!!!)

Posted by: Amber at October 14, 2005 1:51 PM

I'm at work, in my office, but napping. Does that count?

Posted by: Jason at October 14, 2005 1:57 PM

Ohhhh dear. I'll bet you're past the point of fried. Make sure to do something meaningless and fun this weekend.

Posted by: Colleen at October 14, 2005 2:10 PM

I'm at home in my pjs also. But I'm not working. I'm sick. At least my puppy is here to keep me company.

Posted by: Krush at October 14, 2005 2:39 PM

me tooo!!!!

a little sick = good reason to work from home

obviously though, reading blogs is so much more fun than work

Posted by: bellacara at October 14, 2005 2:57 PM

Hope you stayed in them all day. Lucky dog.

Posted by: smartjuice at October 14, 2005 3:28 PM

I'm not the jealous type all that much. More curious. Like, I'm wondering why you darkened the PJ detail. Could it be your cozycomfies are covered with bunnies or unicorns perhaps? Hmm?

Posted by: sawni at October 14, 2005 3:29 PM

i've been living in my pj's since i left the hospital. i almost don't ever want to put on regular clothes ever again. i heart pj's

Posted by: angel at October 14, 2005 5:08 PM

pj's huh, lucky duck!! quack quack ;)

Posted by: lizabetty at October 14, 2005 10:43 PM

I wish I could've worn my jammy as I lounged about at the INS...I mean...USCIS office for 4 hours today. Happy weekend!

Posted by: Oakley at October 14, 2005 11:37 PM

*sigh* working from home is the BEST.

Posted by: Dawn (webmiztris) at October 15, 2005 1:38 PM

Whah. Whah. If you'd stop burning incense, put out the votive candles, pitch the potpourri and open the friggin' blinds maybe you'd get some work done. Unless there is more money in hosting a seance, drop the whole "I'm working from an Opium Den, and I can't get up" vibe.

I'm sure there are a few women-folk out there that will want to shower you with a few "awwww's".

Heh heh.

Blog on!

Posted by: Sam at October 16, 2005 9:48 PM

Is it a bad thing that it's a Wednesday and it's nearly noon and I'm STILL in my PJ's?
