Do you remember Alexander? He of the terrible, horrible, no good, very bad, incredibly shitty day? (Okay, so the shitty part was my addition.) Ladies and gentlemen, today you can just call me Alexander. Please excuse the lack of intelligent posting here today. More details to come...

Do share...and I promise I won't go the "my day was shittier than yours" route!

You're gonna recuperate and then, after reflecting, say, "Oh, that day wasn't THAT bad afterall!"

Oh man, and it's not even Monday. Sucks. Well, I hope tomorrow's better.

Thinking good thoughts for you...

Posted by: amber at March 21, 2006 8:25 AM

oh my goodness...i totally remember alexander. it was my brother's favourite book when he was a little kid. I found an Alexander doll a couple of years ago and purchased it for him with a copy of the book as a joke gift. I think i enjoyed the gift more than he did...

i'm sorry you're having a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day.

It's so early yet...and all hope is gone?

Sending positive thoughts your way. Remember, there's always someone worse off than you are.
What did your horoscope say???

We loved Alexander too. I used to read it to them on their "horrid" days. It always gave them the giggles.

I'll be back when you're back.

My son loves that book! He thinks it's funny. I'm guessing you're not laughing too much today...

I LOVE Alexander. Capt Stinky does too. He's a big part of our family. So are his bad days.

Just insist Beth bring Mia by so you can squeeze the baby until she squeaks... you'll feel better right away.

Posted by: Elaine at March 21, 2006 11:27 AM

:-( I'm sorry you're having a bad day.

Posted by: Ginny at March 21, 2006 11:29 AM

I just heard about Callie over at Beth's. I'm so sorry.

I am so sorry about Calypso - you were right on about a terrible day. Wonderful thoughts and good memories will hold you through...

Posted by: Kell at March 21, 2006 12:04 PM

I am so sorry, Chris. I wish there was something I could say or do, but I know this is a terrible, terrible loss. My heart is breaking for you and Beth. You have my deepest sympathy. *Hugs*

I just read Beth's site. So sorry you lost such a beautiful little cat. Forget what I said above. Be sad all you want.

Posted by: Elaine at March 21, 2006 12:29 PM

It sucks to lose a furry family member... Hugs to all.

Does that mean you are moving to Australia? I seem to recall that Alexander thought the answers to his problems were in the Land Down Under.

Hope your day gets better!
