Really Random. I Mean It.

"And the Lord ripened the avocados and said "Squasheth with thine feet and maketh guacamole, for it shall be a fiesta in thine mouths". And the people said, "Refrieth thine beans and let us make nachos." And the Lord did don his Holy Sombrero and make it so. And it was good."Perhaps I've gone to the well one too many times...

When you and a friend are being chased by a bear, you don't need to be faster than the bear, just faster than your friend.Twisted, but true.

good luck on baby duty. you'll do fine. :)
Posted by: jodi at March 17, 2006 9:58 PMChris, you have the greatest self-portraits!
Posted by: Amanda at March 17, 2006 10:12 PMhow you made it through a totally random post without once mentioning that you have a ghost is beyond me. i mean, hell, if this was my blog and my entry that ghost would be all i'd be writing about, but hey, maybe you've had it around for so long that you can be all blase about it. that's cool, man. real cool. he's a tiny one. is that why you don't look afraid?

Posted by: patricia at March 18, 2006 12:50 AMWas that a totally in-camera self portrait? If not - please - tell me the photoshop secret - the ethereal look is killer.... and perhaps the only way I'll ever look hot. :)
Posted by: Greg at March 18, 2006 2:59 AMHuh? Ghost? What. Anyway, I love your disjointed entry, and that's a cool divider bar. Hope baby duty is going okay.
Posted by: Heather at March 18, 2006 3:30 AMAww, big squishy internet hug to you Chris. And dude, not to worry you, but Patricia is right- there is someone behind you!! (What was that flick- Wolf Creek? You know the one Katie Curic's nephew directed.) (Wanders down the tangent highway... totally lost.)
Posted by: Nic at March 18, 2006 4:55 AMNobody on "baby duty" should ever look that good. Save it for the big girls ;-)
Posted by: JuJu's Mom Linda at March 18, 2006 5:10 AMGreat post, but I gotta ask - how on earth did you manage to post while on baby duty?
PS - thanks for the emusic.com tip - I've been looking for a way to download some mp3's (legally).
Posted by: Marie at March 18, 2006 10:46 AMFoot guac. Mmmm. Not.
I wasn't reading you when Mia was born, so I didn't get to offer my congratulations then. So, congratulations!
Posted by: Contary at March 18, 2006 11:38 AMsmokin' hot! ;)
Posted by: Tricia at March 18, 2006 12:27 PMDude... your photo makes me think OMD in the 80's. Is that a good thing or a bad thing?
Posted by: Elaine at March 18, 2006 12:54 PMHave you heard/tried allofmp3.com ?? Very cheap, high-quality mp3s.
Posted by: ::c:: at March 18, 2006 1:05 PMFirst off, is the picture from a test shoot for your boy-band-esque solo project or from a dream sequence in the japanese, role playing video game you star in?
Second, I agree with you on Audioslave, but those are two bands that just never should have parted ways with original members.
There is nothing better than hoping around, breaking stuff to, "Bulls on Parade" or pretending its 1993 and listening to "rusty cage."
I missed the intial landing of the bean so saying congratulations seems rediclical, so I will say, as I have said in the past, you have a beautiful family. Bless all of you.
*wiping away tears*....okay maybe not, haha
Cheers,
JJ
How'd you do?!
Posted by: kristen at March 18, 2006 2:00 PMYeah, yeah -- how'd baby duty go?
Posted by: Emily at March 18, 2006 2:20 PM"Refrieth thine beans..." heavens-to-Betsy made me laugh so hard I couldn't read the sentence to Mr. Foot.
And funny *and* cute? That Beth is one lucky woman!
(Oh, and I, too, wasn't reading when Mia was born, so: Congratulations! She's so lovely!)
Posted by: candace at March 18, 2006 2:33 PMI also was not yet reading when Mia was born but of course congrats. You are one lucky guy to have such a great family.
Boy I'm out of original comments lately, sorry! Cool picture - future album cover perhaps?
Posted by: Beth in StL at March 18, 2006 4:27 PMAudio slave? Please enlighten me.
And of course I looked at the pics when the bean was born. What a great day!
I've been following the Bean story since before it was really a story. And I love it.
Posted by: cas at March 18, 2006 7:07 PMThat photo looks just like something my hubster would make while on baby duty. Moms and Dads do baby duty differently. Mamas should sit down and make cool photos once in a while.
Posted by: Rachel at March 19, 2006 12:38 AMThank you so so much for the link to the music site. I've been wanting to sign up with one, but was afraid that I wouldn't be able to burn the music (I am living in the 90's and don't have an Ipod or equivalent). You're super!
Posted by: jessica fantastica at March 19, 2006 4:16 AMI believe I was offline and moving across the province when The Bean was born. But I know in my heart that you are actually including me in your lovefest. I just know it.
Posted by: Pamalamadingdong at March 19, 2006 8:57 AMGreat post - I love the randomness...I'll have to check out the site...hope all went well on..er..duty?
Posted by: Sue at March 20, 2006 12:29 PMwe fucking love you too.
