Odd Monkee Out
A while back, I told you how Beth and I decided that vetran actor Peter O'Toole was a member of the Monkees, right? Following her bath, Mia was very amused this morning when I wrapped myself up - in Lawrence of Arabia fashion - in her bath towel and began singing a slightly altered version of the Monkees theme.

Here I come
Walkin' up on stage
Gettin' standing ovations
Even in my old ageHey hey I'm Peter O'Toole
I was Lawrence of Arabia
I can't think of anything that rhymes with Arabia
Except something that's really inappropriate so I wont sing it to my daughter
I'd forgotten that earlier post. Did anyone come up with Anatomy of a Monkee? The comments print is small and I was getting a little blurry eyed. (Keep forgetting I can make it bigger - duh).
I'd kill for a pic of you as Lawrence.

I am reminded of that Seinfeld episode in which Jerry can't remember his date's name.
"Delores!"

Posted by: stinkerbell at April 22, 2006 1:47 PMWhat's the word I am looking for here.
*thinking*
Oh yeah!! WRONG!! That is SO wrong!! AhAHAHAHA but I laughed anyway hehehe
*snicker*
Remember Peter O'Toole in the "Supergirl" movie? .....That was quality!
I saw Davey Jones on a show the other day...I wish I could remember which one. He looked pretty good for an old guy.
Posted by: wordgirl at April 22, 2006 2:32 PMYou could always try www.rhymezone.com. That's what I do when I get stuck in songwriting. ;)
Posted by: Heather at April 22, 2006 3:26 PMThat is HILARIOUS that she thought that. You should try to track down Peter Tork and tell him that. (Hey! He's playing in Maryland over Labor Day weekend...you could take her to meet the real Peter.) :)
Posted by: Marilyn at April 22, 2006 3:32 PMYou are quite clever. If you wrote children's songs... let's just say I wouldn't whine and roll my eyes every time my son wants to hear "HIS" music.
Posted by: Lisa B at April 22, 2006 3:42 PMLOL. I'm speechless. Surprised, aren't you?
Posted by: JuJu's Mom Linda at April 22, 2006 5:36 PMOh yeah, you and the meester need to hang out. Every song he sings, he inserts a verse for poop in there somewhere.
Posted by: statia at April 22, 2006 6:59 PMHopefully you used two towels.
Posted by: dragonlady474 at April 23, 2006 9:12 PMhaha...the whole rhyming with arabia thing...too funny. :p
