Haiku For Monday #128

How can I, like spring,
get sprung from my dark office
on days like today?

Counting down the days
Until I can enjoy life
Without bratty kids.

Only 26 days of school left this year for me. That means I turn the kids over to their parents and *I* become a kid for the summer. Woo!

Oh, and a 'ku to celebrate my friend who is a new NFL player:

Kudla didn't draft
In a round as expected;
Instead, got HIS pick.

My friend, Mike Kudla (DE from Ohio State), was projected to go in the later rounds of the draft, but since the draft was a weird one, he didn't. Instead, as soon as the official draft was over, he was fielding calls from 6 different teams. It came down to Dallas and Pittsburgh.... and he CHOSE Pittsburgh!!!! I couldn't be happier that my friend is going to my FAVORITE team! Sorry... just had to share!

Do like I did and
take a vacation day. Four
day weekends are good.

Just had to share one of my favorite quotes from a now-defunct sitcom:
"You hate your job? Why didn't you say so? They have a support group for that. It's called EVERYBODY and they meet at the bar!"
