We Attack At Dawn!

This morning, Mia and I staged an early morning raid on the kitchen. Because, you know, sometimes you just have to wake up early and put bags on your heads.

My dad and I used to stick christmas lights up our nose. That's kinda the same thing, right?

Hey, it's better than raids on Lebanon, right?

Have a wonderful Saturday, everybody! Chris, I hope you get all the coffee you picture cries out for...:)

Mia gets cuter everyday!

My grandpa used to do something similar - he'd put an empty cereal bowl on his head and become 'The Chinese Giant' and start talking away in fake chinese. It always cracked up my sister and I.

Looking back now, the PC people would probably get on my case about that - you can't make fun of anyone anymore because it's offensive! Gah.

We used to hide in the rubbish bin (trash can - gah - American is not my first language!). The more germs the better, right?!?!

To state the obvious, Mia is so cute!

Too cute!

Have another one!

Aw, what a sweet face she truly has! I have yet to have the need for bags on my head but one time I put a....wait...nevermind! ;)

Dude, you're looking a little tired. Get some sleep, will ya? (I know, I know. You will when she will, right?) Looks like your day got off to a great start -- hope the rest of the weekend is at least as much fun!

Posted by: shelley at July 15, 2006 11:38 AM

Awesome! My dad and I never did that. But I do remember sitting on his lap to watch cartoons very early in the morning while my mom slept. OH and he used to take me to the stockyards when we still had cows. Nothing like a little slaughtering to bond a father and a daughter ;)

Looks like fun! Except, how early was it? You look a bit sleepy--probably how I looked when the boys got me up this morning at 5:40.

Posted by: Alissa at July 15, 2006 1:03 PM

Such a good look for you! now, go take a nap!

Posted by: Karen at July 15, 2006 1:28 PM

Awwwwwww. And yeah, coffee definitely called for. (For you. Mia clearly needs no help waking up at dawn... how do they do that??)

Posted by: Kate the Shrew at July 15, 2006 1:54 PM

How very sweet.

Posted by: Jenn at July 15, 2006 4:11 PM

I thought that was a general Saturday need...? Doesn't EVERYBODY do that?

Posted by: Queen of Ass at July 15, 2006 4:45 PM

I can tell the time of day this was taken by just looking at your puffy watery red eyes! ;-D

My Saturday morning? I was using my face as a tennis racket. Much fun. (Go see my blog in a few minutes.)

Very, very cute. How early was this?

Every girl needs those special times with their Dad!

Posted by: Maribeth at July 15, 2006 8:35 PM

Thanks. I needed a good dose of cute today.

I love how she is looking at you in the one with a bag on your head. She's totally digging the angle or something.

Posted by: Pamalamadingdong at July 15, 2006 10:41 PM

Oh man, you look like you're still asleep in these pictures. Bags as hats are always fun though.

You and the odd things on your head, Rude. And now you're getting Mia stuck on it, too?

Posted by: Broad at July 16, 2006 3:39 AM

Looks like fun. ;)

LOL! Too cute!

Better than a lampshade . . . Great Look! Are you turning Mia into a "Bag" Lady? Cuz Auntie Anni approves! We love bags!

Anni :-)

PS Would you email a mailing address so that I can send Mia's 1st birthday present?

Posted by: Anni at July 16, 2006 1:08 PM

Sometimes I wake up in the kitchen with a bag on my head.

I like your version much better.

Posted by: krystyn at July 17, 2006 12:54 PM

Aw... Such a good dad. You look kind of out of it though. Did you get lost in that paper bag? ;)

Posted by: Tink at July 17, 2006 2:15 PM

Sooo, sweet. So nice that you wake up in the morning....But, I'm not bitter or anything.... ;)
