Haiku For Monday #153
I have a dream too
One that involves a day off
On MLK day.
I was momentarily confused when I went out to walk the dog at 6:00 this morning- there were so many cars still parked in the driveways! Then I remembered: everyone else has the day off.
Bah.
Posted by: Liz at January 15, 2007 10:26 AMFirst MLK day
off in five years. My new job
keeps getting better.
I wish I had the day off too. Instead, I'm working from home (still in my jammies!), and watching reports of awful weather across TX.

Posted by: Noelle at January 15, 2007 12:23 PMSleeping in was geat,
Thanks to MLK! Coffee
Time has been delayed.
(But not for long!) Bah, I get MY Monday on a Tuesdayâ„¢ tomorrow. My Tuesdays already suck ass, and since it will technically be a "Monday" by way of having today off, it will ROYALLY suck ass. So, you see, although I have a Monday off, I do not TRULY have a Monday off.
Are you at WORK today?! Good god, man, what kind of evil employer requires that?! (Check out the MLK post on my blog if you wanna get really depressed about how our history is repeating itself a la Vietnam.) But, hey, your weekend sounds like it was great! ;)
Posted by: Marilyn at January 15, 2007 12:51 PMHappy Holiday! I love these long weekends. :)
Posted by: Mala at January 15, 2007 12:56 PMI too, share that Day off dream.....
pipe dream it may be....
here I stand, holding my pipe.
Later kid.
Posted by: da speckledpup at January 15, 2007 4:31 PMI dreamt again of
Sharks last night -- perhaps cuz I'm
Reading *Life of Pi*.
That last line is the best line in a haiku yet. And I'm just reading it late Tuesday night. My timeliness in reading the Monday haiku is greatly affected by my college student status. God I can't wait to graduate....
