LOL, great text. :-)

hope you get better soon!

And God bless Reese's peanut butter cups! (Though it would be even better if He just made sure they were exported to the low lands as well...)

I knew it! The Presidential pardons are starting already! Could old Scooter be next?? LOL

Posted by: Maribeth at March 7, 2007 7:38 AM

That counts as an entry! My need for a Cactus fix has been sated. Get well soon!

Posted by: E :) at March 7, 2007 7:52 AM

You should "not" blog more often. That was hilarious.

Take care. Have a Hot Toddy. Watch the View. Oh, no don't. That will make you sicker.

Posted by: DebbieDoesLife at March 7, 2007 7:53 AM

LOL. Dude never returns MY calls when I'm in need of a note. He's probably off copying the funny pages with a big wad of silly putty.

Posted by: Nicole at March 7, 2007 8:00 AM

Damnit so THAT'S where my silly putty went! Come to think of it I am missing my slinky too. ~mutters~ =)

Hope you get over the sniffles soon Chris. And dude, I'm from Texas too, so don't hold him against me mmmkay? =)

Posted by: Lauren at March 7, 2007 8:05 AM

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but if you've got a cold...dairy is the WORST thing for you. Even though ice cream is a food of the gods and I'm also pretty sure it causes cancer. Last week's news says it also helps women get pregnant. Not that I'd know about that, since alcohol has always been pretty good to me in that department.

That said, I excuse you from all activity other than lying on the sofa with some buttered toast and oj laced with ginger ale whilst watching a Three Stooges marathon. GEt better soon.

Posted by: wordgirl at March 7, 2007 8:21 AM

Hope it's not the bir flu ( I think I had that two weeks ago)

Posted by: mrsmogul at March 7, 2007 8:23 AM

Dear Chris,

I understand that you are sick. I am currently working on providing you with a healthplan that will keep you sick for years to come. I just need a few more tax dollars that I can take from everyone else to get you, at best, mediocre care. I have been quite busy with other bills and laws that I think are more important, not that they actually help the American people, but becasue they just basically take shots at the President.

I am currently working on a bill that would ban Shrinky Dinks as an enviromental hazard.

I am also working on banning the use of the word Sundae. Due to the fact that it is derived form the word Sun and people used to worship the sun and me and my party do not think any type of worship of any kind should be allowed. Also Wednesday and Thursday will be changed becaue thier names come form the Norse Gods Odin and Thor.

I only need about 100 hours to complete this. That would be 1 hour a month over 100 months. So please get well soon because we need your support.

Nancy Pelosi.

Posted by: daisy at March 7, 2007 8:47 AM

Posted by: suze at March 7, 2007 9:51 AM

Did I say that ice cream causes cancer? I meant "cured". CURED!!!

Posted by: wordgirl at March 7, 2007 10:06 AM

Has that little creamery in Brenham rigged the distribution so that you can get Blue Bell in your area yet? Ice cream sundaes are best with Blue Bell.

Hope you feel better soon!

Posted by: sarah at March 7, 2007 10:37 AM

Crap. There's a lot of that going around. Get better SOON.

Posted by: sue at March 7, 2007 10:55 AM

I almost made it through the whole morning without thinking about what a joke Bush is. Almost.

Hope you feel better Sniffles.

Posted by: whit at March 7, 2007 11:16 AM

So you're too sick to blog but not too sick to obtain a note from the president? I see how it is.

(Feel better, snotty! Lots of veggie noodle soup for you!)

Posted by: oakley at March 7, 2007 11:31 AM

LOLolol.. I can hear the big dub saying it!

Hope you become un-sniffly and well soon.

Posted by: ::c:: at March 7, 2007 12:05 PM

Use this opportunity to send dirty tissues in well licked envelopes to your superhero enemies.

And when you are done, get better!

P.S. I don't get my mail I send a undercover midget for it to protect me from such enemies.

Posted by: BID at March 7, 2007 12:18 PM

May god bless you back to health - and give you both Spiderman *and* Star Wars shrinky dinks.

Posted by: Haley-O at March 7, 2007 2:17 PM

Hmm...I'm gonna actually wish that you *never* get a shrinky dink. (Yes, I'm twelve.)
Feel better soon! (And you could've come up with a better excuse you know...I don't believe a thing that guy says :P)

Posted by: Heather at March 7, 2007 4:37 PM

Hope you are feeling better soon. I have had the same cold now for like 3 weeks. It wont go away. grrrrr. funny post :)

Posted by: MadMom at March 7, 2007 4:56 PM

Oh, and why not send FEMA over to the Cactus house, I hear they are knee deep in tissues. And, could you please pass along my wishes for a speedy recovery? Thanks dubya

Posted by: Nanette at March 7, 2007 5:12 PM

I was just telling somebody about Shrinky Dinks last week, and he accused me of making them up. Thanks for the validation. And I hope you feel better soon.

Posted by: Sphincter at March 7, 2007 6:32 PM

That was a great post. Hope you feel bettah soon.

(Can I use "tricyclefecta"?)

Posted by: motherofbun at March 7, 2007 7:03 PM

Feel better soon.

Posted by: ann adams at March 7, 2007 7:16 PM

Wow, aren't you special getting an excuse from the president? Feel better soon!

Posted by: Beth in StL at March 7, 2007 7:46 PM

Your excuse note is not officially watermarked so I'm not sure I can accept this.

Posted by: angela at March 7, 2007 8:11 PM

Hey! That wasn't very nice! If our President had been writing you a note like that, well you may very well have had to go to Walter Reed Hospital to be treated. Now go thank the merciful stars that the President isn't taking as good care of you as he is our troops.

Posted by: JayMonster at March 7, 2007 10:14 PM

Get well soon -- I hope you haven't caught my horrible cold, I KNEW my blog was still contagious! :(

Posted by: Alyndabear at March 8, 2007 12:30 AM

Listen, if that isn't a legit excuse I don't know what is!

Posted by: Peggy at March 8, 2007 12:44 AM

I read that with a little Southern twang. Made it more fun that way.

You're too funny. And you're excused.

Posted by: nila at March 8, 2007 3:14 AM

I hope you feel better!

That is known that cash can make people disembarrass. But what to do if one does not have money? The one way is to get the business loans or consolidation loan.
