The Weekend In Numbers

Strange and little known fact - despite the fact that I rarely post anything over the weekend, Monday is the day I see the least traffic around here. I blame the fact that everyone's trying to get back into the swing of that whole work thing. It gets in the way of all the good stuff. That, or I'm just really boring on Mondays.

The weekend? Well, that was anything but boring. Check out the weekend numbers.

Bags of mulch put down: 33
Yards mowed: 1
Aspirin needed: 382

If only you lived on the earlier side of the planet... I start my work week flicking through blogs, but being on the early side of the planet, no-one has blogged. I have to wait until Monday night my time to catch up on the weekend had by the blogsphere, poor me.

PS - disappointing M&M eating stat, I expect to see better results next weekend. I on the other hand ate half of a super delicious and rich chocolate mud cake drowned in fudge sauce!

I watched my only child graduate from high school Friday night. The rest of the weekend was a blur of wondering where the time went, dinner with other graduates parents because our kids were safely ensconced at Project Graduation, niece's graduation party (same h.s.), and a wakeup to humidity so thick you can cut it with a knife, a raging headache (from humidity), husband announcing his Vertigo is back (again, humidity) and making lunch for graduate who now has to go to work for his father.

I'm still reeling at the amount of money you had to spend on gas. I have no idea why I'm surprised. But yay for beer and trips to Target. Target makes it all better somehow. (Except for the gas you spend getting there.)

I promise this is not a pity comment to prove I was her on a Monday....after all, you had me at Arrested Development.

That be a whole lotta mulch, Chris. Bet the gardens look pretty though. And I second Fraulein- yay for beer and Target. Although considering it takes me $80 these days to fill my car, I'm not too surprised about the gas price.

Is it weird that I've also experienced the baby-spit-up-in-nose thing? It's really not that hard to do.

DIRECTIONS FOR ACHIEVING BABY SPIT UP IN NOSE
1) Feed baby
2) Forget that you just fed the baby
3) Hold baby overhead and make fly like Superman
4) Look up at baby and say things like, "Look at the flying baby! Flyyyyyyyyyyying baby!
5) Fail to move fast enough when baby spits up
6) Get spit up in nose

Are you ever tempted to stash M&Ms in those rolls of chub? Sometimes, when Hoop is sleeping on the couch, I think about it and giggle. Then he wakes up and asks me what I'm giggling about. I usually answer, "Midgets." and he goes back to sleep. Oh, if he only knew.
