Giving Thanks

I was putting Mia to bed last night. When I got up to leave, she strenuously objected.

Mia: But daddy, I don't want you to go.
Me: Why?
Mia: Because I love you so much.

And that, folks, is what I'm thankful for. I'm thankful for my wife, my kids and the rest of my family. I'm thankful that I live in a wonderful country, that I was born here and not in abject poverty. I'm thankful for my job and the comfortable life I've shaped for myself. And I'm thankful for you. For some reason you grace my site everyday and take the time to say hi, to comment. Thank you.

Have a wonderful, safe Thanksgiving.

I am thankful for the Boy, for us both having a job, for us both being healthy, and for our friends and families.

I'm also thankful that the hand turkey never goes out of style. All I can think of is Mitch Hedberg:

“I hate turkeys. If you stand in the meat section at the grocery store long enough, you start to get mad a turkeys. There's turkey ham, turkey bologna, turkey pastromi,.Some one needs to tell the turkey, man, just be yourself. [Holds out hand] I used to draw you..."

I am thankful that even at the times when I am feeling worst, I am reminded in so many ways and shapes and forms how loved I am.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your fam! (And aren't those kid-made cards THE BEST?!)

BTW, the phrase "strenuously object' always reminds me of the movie "A Few Good Men".

Happy Thanksgiving! Hope you enjoy the weekend with the family!

Me, I'm still on a search for turkey. Stupid England and their stupid insistence on only eating turkey at Christmas making it impossible to find in November. I think Ian and I might end up having pheasant for Thanksgiving...which just seems too fancy ;-)

Thank you for taking the time to write for us every day.

I'm thankful for having tomorrow off even though I will be cooking beginning before sunrise. I'm also thankful for my husband, dogs, cantancerous mother, my job, and the food on the table.

Have a Happy Thanksgiving.

Thanks for sharing your kiddos! Mia and Owen are blessings indeed. Their little faces and the stories you share make even the worst cubicle day not so bad. (Dude, the departed in Ohio just kills me!) May you and your family have a super Thanksgiving!

I miss American Thanksgiving - we used to celebrate it because my Dad was American but we haven't done it since he passed away.

Maybe it is time to start a new Turkey tradition around here.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving. We're having two. One tomorrow with the girls at their house (I'm cooking and bringing most of the dinner) and then again on Friday for son Tim and his new spouse. Hope the girls will join us for dessert.

I'm already cooking while I check email.

I think that to receive the personal loans from creditors you ought to have a good reason. But, one time I have received a sba loan, because I wanted to buy a house.
