Quick! Let's say - hypothetically - you're a guy, your daughter painted your nails and you have to go to work but you just discovered that another member of the household - who shall remain hypothetically nameless - used every last bit of nail polish remover. What do you do?

Okay, maybe this isn't so hypothetical after all.

Go to the store and buy some.

Just go with it. It's the latest thing for boys. Didn't you hear about the J. Crew thing?? :)

hopefully you won't be institutionalized and meet "michael jackon" like homer simpson when he wore a pink shirt to work.

Haaaaa ... gloves? I hear gloves are making a comeback.

Since I don't have to interact with customers at my job, I'd wear the colors proudly (though keeping my hands in my pockets when meeting with the CIO).

Posted by: J at April 28, 2011 9:09 AM

You are totally rocking those colors! Just go to work like that...maybe where a nametag type sticker on your shirt that says "I really love my kids!" Parents will understand.

You so go for it. Leave it on. There's hardly a better way to show that you're in the top 1% of awesome dads. And, I'll bet Mia will remember. :)

Stop on your way to work. Buy bottle of remover and cotton balls and remove polish. Simple as that!

Posted by: Maribeth at April 28, 2011 9:40 AM

You are the best dad EVER! Wear the colors proudly. It'd be a GREAT ice breaker at any meetings. Heh.

Posted by: NotAMeanGirl at April 28, 2011 9:47 AM

Wear it proudly to work and proclaim that you are the BEST DAD EVER because you let your little girl paint your nails. :)

Posted by: Holly Reynolds at April 28, 2011 10:20 AM

You are a good, good dad. :)

Posted by: Erin at April 28, 2011 10:32 AM

who cares? anyone who does is not a friend of yours ;)

but yeah, you could just go buy some.

Posted by: kati at April 28, 2011 10:39 AM

Don't stop now, I am sure Mia is also great with blush and eyeliner...just make sure she uses spring colors, as it would be totally embarrassing to be sporting fall or winter shades this time of the year.

Laugh hysterically? No, that's not helpful - and I'm supposed to be pretending I'm you, anyway.

I'll keep working on it.

Stop at a drug store on the way to work and pick up nail polish remover, because dude that is not a look you can pull off!!!!!!!

I'd check the closet for a lbd in a XXL size. Also call HR to tell them they need more sexual diversity training class for the staff.

Posted by: Bill Ratliff at April 28, 2011 12:14 PM

I hope you kept them!

Posted by: Sassy Pants at April 28, 2011 12:50 PM

No advice, but I will spend the rest of my day wondering what you did end up doing :P Bonus points for leaving them painted all day!

Posted by: Angela at April 28, 2011 2:00 PM

I think all you can do it laugh. I know I was when Beth posted about it last night!

Posted by: Dianna at April 28, 2011 6:26 PM

Since you can blame it on your daughter it's not the biggest deal ;)

Posted by: Heather at April 29, 2011 2:15 AM

The manliest of us all would wear it proudly.

Posted by: alektra at April 29, 2011 5:48 PM
