Posted by: Kaz at December 21, 2012 9:53 AMGreat list! One question - While I agree that Gone Girl was a fantastic book, were you really OK with the ending? I don't want to give away too much for people who haven't read it yet! I have recommended it to so many people. But, I didn't like the ending.

Biggest flip: Being really unhappy at my job to being really, really happy at my job!
Year of Vacation: Argentina, Uruguay, Hawaii + 13 states and 8 provinces. Epic.
Ailment of the year: nausea!
Expected happiness: the world didn't end!

Posted by: Heather at December 23, 2012 2:02 AMI feel like I have been in a fog since the Connecticut shootings. I live 10 miles from the Aurora, Colorado shooting. Last week, we saw Lincoln. First time, we had been at the movies since the shooting.
What we did this year is a blur and doesn't seem that important. I can't stop thinking about the suffering these families are enduring and I haven't watched hardly any of the coverage. My heart can't take it.
