Haiku for Monday #5

Three-day week ahead
But I have the work of ten
Not thankful for that

Starbucks still doesn't make cups big enough for Monday mornings...

GASP!!! GASP!!!!

I'm sorry. I cannot live without getting me some Starbucks, especially on mornings like I'm predicting this one will turn out.

I wish they made Super Gulp sized coffees. I may stop at my local 7-Eleven, pick up a giant travel mug, and demand that my Lovely Local Starbucks fill it for me.

I mean, if 7-Eleven made decent chai, I'd be all over that.

Tiffanie, I am so sorry you have no Starbucks near you. It is my crack.

The only Starbucks near me is inside of B&N, which is all they way across town. I've taken to store bought or from our little shops owned locally. Mmm... Irish Creme today.

Damn it, now I want a Caramel Macchiato. No Starbucks for a 10 minute drive and I'm lazy. Instead I will go to Tim Hortons (because I am thankful to be Canadian when it comes to Tim Hortons) and have a nice bowl of soup!

omg that looks yummy!

k, here's what you do ... goto 7-11 and buy one of their X-treme Gulp red plastic mugs (like $4-$5) and bring THAT in to starbucks and tell 'em to "fill it up!"

i'd love to see the look on their faces. *snicker*

Memories of work
Missing that tasty flavor
Missing the fun folk

AWWWWW. I miss Starbucks. I miss working there. Errr.. not for most of the crap work or the crap pay, but for the wonderful constant human contact and making my own lattes hehehe.

No Starbucks in Ireland, as far as I know.

I'm starting to notice it's absence, what with the constant mentions everywhere of peppermint lattés.

No offense to anyone in particular, but...

I hate Starbucks. Their coffee is watered down and tasteless, as are most people...no, corporate whores...I've ever seen sitting down there writing haikus on their laptops wearing horn-rimmed glasses. (I may hate Starbucks, but I freakin' love Denis Leary.)

In Vancouver, there used to be a street corner downtown (Robson & Thurlow, I believe) that had a Starbucks on every corner. Yep...four Starbucks, all within 20 meters of each other. Disgusting.

When given the choice, I will buy my coffee from an independent or small Canadian chain coffee shop. When not given the choice...I just won't buy a coffee :p Starbucks is to the food and beverage industry as Microsoft is to the computer industry. And we all know Microsoft is evil...don't we?!

p.s. Chris, how do you get through that whole cup of coffee before it gets cold?!
