Haiku For Monday #13
Oh a holiday
Why don't I get the day off?
Bad employer, bad
Office half empty
Java flowing, workers tired
Bed calling our names
Holiday? What holiday?
Posted by: Jaded Angel at January 19, 2004 09:06 AMIt's a holiday? Damn Canadian gov't always jipping us out of day's off work! You can suffer with my whole country today! :)
Posted by: Kimmie at January 19, 2004 09:09 AMmy building is closed
my boss isn't here
but still I showed up for work.
lawyers often do
work on holidays
even if there is no heat.
to break your lovely tradition:
There once was a blogger named Chris
Whose entries I never would miss.
Each Monday anew
He would post a haiku
About java and his work abyss.
now, back to your regularly scheduled haikus.
Posted by: Alicia at January 19, 2004 10:01 AMThere's a holiday today? Oh, yeah... one of my coworkers just left to participate in a parade.
Posted by: amber at January 19, 2004 10:02 AMWell, I survived the weekend (no thanks to you) and I just want to say "Happy MLK Day"!!
Posted by: zeno at January 19, 2004 10:36 AMA bit of bitter prose for a bitterly cold day (which I should have had off!)...
My fucking work sucks
I have nothing to do now
So why am I here?
Arrgh- so very not in a good mood today...
I've already had two meetings today! I think everyone is taking advantage of the market being closed to catch up! (That's what we're all about here in my little financial institution support world!)
Posted by: Empress at January 19, 2004 10:54 AMIn the amusment park/museum/attraction/transportation industry, no one ever takes a friggen day off!!
GRRRRRR.
I hear ya. I'm stuck in the office today with NOTHING to do. The phone isn't ringing and I'm so bored! And to top it off, I had to dig my way out of 8" of snow from yesterday's storm...I really don't like Mondays.
Posted by: Missy at January 19, 2004 11:33 AMCan we have a 'button' for Haiku For Monday please?
Posted by: Amber at January 19, 2004 11:37 AMFuck me for working.
There is nobody else here.
I am freezing.
Last night, I spent the evening on the streets of Dallas with a vagrant and a local hoodlum. We stood in the freezing cold and shared a pizza I bought for $2 from a delivery man trying to unload a delivery gone south.
I would rather be back there than at work today.
Bad, bad employer. BAD.
Posted by: Rob at January 19, 2004 12:55 PMI have to work today too! It blows!
Posted by: dewnut at January 19, 2004 02:34 PMWe are having our Christmas party today. [humph]
