Haiku For Monday #14
Winter came calling
And left behind snowy roads
I'm working from home
I am jealous. So far, half of my team has sent in e-mails saying that they'll be working from home today. This is by far the worst part about living on the "snow emergency route" that leads right to work and having a 4WD car. No excuses!!
Posted by: Empress at January 26, 2004 07:56 AMI should work from home in sympathy for all my Northern brothers and sisters. Yeah, that's it.
Posted by: Alicia at January 26, 2004 07:58 AMHa! You're not the only one! I actually tried to free myself from the parking lot this morning, but it wasn't working. So I didn't even get to sleep late on a snowy winter day. Good for you for working from home though!
Posted by: Zandria at January 26, 2004 08:26 AMgood for you! winter has its perks you see
Posted by: fluffy at January 26, 2004 09:10 AMLucky you! I fought the roads (and so far, I won). Fishtailed a little, but that's all. The freezing rain predicted later makes me nervous for evening rush hour.
Posted by: Krush at January 26, 2004 09:29 AMShort week for this girl
Going on a cruise on Thurs
To the Caribbea!
I wish I was at home. Home is warm, this place is coooooooold. It is -38F outside and I have to sit by the door. I have two heaters around me on MAX and Im wearing my warmest jacket and sweater, and its F@#*ing cold!
Posted by: Jaded Angel at January 26, 2004 09:40 AMTwo things...
I hate Kristi even though I don't know her. (Caribbean Cruise??? That's just mean!!!)
And who's on Montel this morning? (Please don't tell us you're watching The View.)
Posted by: Joe at January 26, 2004 10:01 AMGood for you working from home? I took the day off, my little Civic's not going anywhere. :)
Posted by: Dana at January 26, 2004 11:13 AMBah! It always snows around here on a print deadline for me. Why is nothing plowed out there? They salt the hell out of everything for flurries, so why nothing today?
On the plus side, the management is ordering crappy pizza for the 12 people who bothered to show up. None of which are management.
Posted by: amalah at January 26, 2004 11:22 AMyay for working at home! that's awesome =)
Posted by: tiffanie at January 26, 2004 11:35 AMWoo for snow!
I finally got some.
Snow, that is.
Happy Monday.
Posted by: Marie at January 26, 2004 01:05 PMWell, the snow is on it's way up here to New England some time tonight. I'll probably have the next day or two off--yay! But, I'm really sick of the snow and freezing temperatures. Enough!! :P
Posted by: Missy at January 26, 2004 01:12 PM*GRRRR* I'm so jealous. There's no way I could work from home... but I'm sure that someday I'll be able to take a snowday [non-working]... whenever Mother Nature decides to dump on the Chicago area real good!! It's snowy here too today, but just not enough! Send some our way. Meanwhile, I feel the need to SKI.
Posted by: *Dee* at January 26, 2004 01:53 PMBack from London now
Back to cold temperatures
Take me back there, please?
We've had thirty-four
consecutive hours of snow.
Not that I'm bragging.
:)
You posted that as if your boss reads your blog...
