Winter came calling
And left behind snowy roads
I'm working from home

I am jealous. So far, half of my team has sent in e-mails saying that they'll be working from home today. This is by far the worst part about living on the "snow emergency route" that leads right to work and having a 4WD car. No excuses!!

Ha! You're not the only one! I actually tried to free myself from the parking lot this morning, but it wasn't working. So I didn't even get to sleep late on a snowy winter day. Good for you for working from home though!

Lucky you! I fought the roads (and so far, I won). Fishtailed a little, but that's all. The freezing rain predicted later makes me nervous for evening rush hour.

I wish I was at home. Home is warm, this place is coooooooold. It is -38F outside and I have to sit by the door. I have two heaters around me on MAX and Im wearing my warmest jacket and sweater, and its F@#*ing cold!

Bah! It always snows around here on a print deadline for me. Why is nothing plowed out there? They salt the hell out of everything for flurries, so why nothing today?

On the plus side, the management is ordering crappy pizza for the 12 people who bothered to show up. None of which are management.

Well, the snow is on it's way up here to New England some time tonight. I'll probably have the next day or two off--yay! But, I'm really sick of the snow and freezing temperatures. Enough!! :P

*GRRRR* I'm so jealous. There's no way I could work from home... but I'm sure that someday I'll be able to take a snowday [non-working]... whenever Mother Nature decides to dump on the Chicago area real good!! It's snowy here too today, but just not enough! Send some our way. Meanwhile, I feel the need to SKI.
