Movies...Both Generally and Specifically

By this time you know that I have more books and CDs than I know what to do with. It shouldn't surprise you that I also keep other random bits of stuff. For some reason, I tend to hang onto movie stubs.

You'll see some recent ones but if you look closely you'll find the oldest one I could come up with - Contact from '97.

We saw Lost In Translation today. We didn't rent it but actually went to the theater now that its been re-released. I entered with very high hopes and I was not at all let down. This is a superb film, filled with wisdom and minor miracles. And while I appreciated Sean Penn in Mystic River, Bill Murray deserves the Oscar.

Woah, that's a lot of stubs. That's amazing that you were actually able to collect them all. :-P

Wow! That's a lot of movie stubs! Mine usually end up all wadded up in the dryers lint trap!

Thanks. I'll keep it in mind next time we go to a movie.

I do that too. They're all tacked to my wall in chronological order.

I'm such a loser.

I used to do that. But for some reason I stopped. Come to think of it, I hardly go to movies at all anymore. Gives me a new project to start back up!

I always intend to keep them, but I'm not that organized, so I end up throwing them away anyway. You're such an inspiration :))

I've kept all my movie stubs from 1993 to present day...I have an old ceramic piggybank I got in Spain when I was 6 that has a perfect stub-sized slot.

It's so full I can barely fit any more in (it's a pretty big bank)...not sure what I'll do when it's completely full.

We rented that DVD this weekend as well and were also very happy with the film. This is Billl Murray's best role yet... OK, Caddyshack was pretty darn good too!
