A Degree of Apathy

It shouldn't surprise any of you that I'm a little lazy. Case in point: my college diploma.

I graduated from college in 1997. I graduated mid-year because I was on the 4+ year plan, so I didn't wear the robe and the cool hat with the rest of the kids and my diploma was mailed to me. Did I have it framed immediately like my wife? No. Did I even take it out of the tube? No. Until a couple of weeks ago, it sat all comfy in its yellow mailing tube. Seven years later, its finally framed and on the wall with my wife's. So, yeah, I'm lazy.

I walked, but the second I stepped off the stage my mother snatched my diplomas from my hand. I haven't seen them since, come to think of it. Should ask about that.

But you're still a graduate. ;-)

Snazzy office! I painted mine earlier this year and the colour turned out pink, even though it didn't look pink in the tin. False paint advertising bastards.

I know how you feel. I had my diploma rolled up in the mailing tube for 11 years after I graduated! I finally had it framed last year and now it's hanging on my wall. Oh, well, better late than never. Nice office :o)

18 years and counting here. Come to think of it, I'm not even sure where that useless thing is.

I think it's been about that long for my husband's diploma - mine was framed a few months after graduation.

Also, most of my office a pretty slate blue but I have one red wall same color as yours. :D

Very nice! I like the frames too :)

Better late than never. I think it's lucky that you found it after all this time. Unless, of course, you are very well organized. And that doesn't sound lazy.

I took my last class in college pass/no pass. I learned I passed when my diploma was sent to me a few weeks after graduation. It wasn't rolled up in a tube, it was in a nice green folder. And there it has stayed. Since 1992.

I *think* I may even know where it is. Hrmmmm.
