You know its spring when you see the return of the peep.

Ew! Yick! Marshmallow peeps! I just threw up a little.

(I do love me some Cadbury Creme Eggs though, and I know some peeps think those are gross, so I don't judge anyone's choice of overly sugary Easter treats.)

Mr. Sweety and myself just looked at this picture for 5 minutes. Thinking, what in the name of the holy easter bunny you're squeezing between your lips. First we thought it was a yellow Nemo. Then we thought it was a little duck. Now I read Amalahs comment, is it a yellow marshmellow?

Crap. You just reminded me that I didn't buy any Cadbury Creme Eggs while I was home. I'll have to check the English Shop and HOPE they'll have them. I don't know if I can go yet ANOTHER Easter without them.

You sound exactly as I suspected. Luckily, there is no trace of living in Texas in your voice *phew*

Holy Crap!! You can eat those things? Who knew!!??

Posted by: theProcrastinatrix at April 3, 2004 02:59 PM

Maybe B&J's will make a new Easter icecream with those things in it?

At first I loved Amalah, because she too is a hater of the Peep.

But Cadbury Eggs? Girl, anything that is supposed to look LIKE A RAW EGG isn't getting near my mouth unless I am on "Fear Factor" and being paid to do it.

Well, not Fear Factor. Then it would be an ostrich egg I would have to swallow whole or something.

Posted by: Coleen at April 3, 2004 04:15 PM

what in the crap is that?!

is it wrong that the first thing i thought of when i saw that photo was "suck it! suck it good!"? oh please, like i'm the only one? just the only one that admitted it.

& i heard you, too. & you totally don't sound like i thought you would.

dude, that candy took a perfectly good slang term for "my people" and ruined it.

Those things are repulsive.

Posted by: yvonne at April 3, 2004 07:25 PM

I'd rather eat poop. For real. I'm not joking.

Okay, I am joking.

But I would rather eat my dog's food. Those things are icky. Now I'll take the Cadbury Creme Eggs- Old School Style. GREAT pic though.

Oh GAWD, is that where peeps come from? Your mouth??? I'll never eat another one. Because while I like you and all, we just aren't that close.

Hey Peep, you have a cactus stuck on your but!

Posted by: zenwanderer at April 4, 2004 12:47 AM

Chris, you have found the thing I love the most in this world, I just ate some peeps a couple days ago. :)

oh oh oh. THAT is a Very Disturbing Picture. really it is.

Posted by: girl at April 4, 2004 01:34 PM

The only acceptable use of Peeps is as packing material. Blech.

Everyone knows that Easter was invented just so that the Gods could bestow Cadbury Mini Eggs on the lowly humans. mmmmmmm, mini eggs :drooling:

Posted by: gesikah at April 4, 2004 04:56 PM

I'm so with Colleen on the Peeps and the Cadbury Eggs. Just get it over with quicker and put a frickin' brussels sprout in my Easter basket.

Posted by: Casey at April 4, 2004 07:37 PM

ahhh, its peeps! my sister used to eat those by the package. Me, I'd rather have chocolate, straight sugar and marshmellow always made me a little craazee ;)

Posted by: Katie at April 4, 2004 11:13 PM

That peep looks like it's soon to be history

Posted by: wlfldy at April 5, 2004 07:58 AM

*ICK* Is it a soft, gooey fresh one? I can only eat them if I open the package and let them air-dry for a few days. Much more palatable. I like when the sugar coating is alittle *crunchy*. ;-D

Posted by: Dee at April 5, 2004 09:45 AM

Those things are horrible. You shouldn't put horrible things in your mouth, right?

Posted by: Rob at April 5, 2004 01:29 PM

The only good peep is a chocolate dipped peep.

Posted by: HR Lady at April 6, 2004 12:18 PM

*in a Homer Simpson Voice*

"Mmmmmmm...stale peeps...slightly crunchy outside, ooey gooey inside...mwahoolgmphhhh...."

Posted by: myllissa at April 7, 2004 09:23 AM
