Behind The Times

I'm still having a hard time realizing that Christmas is right around the corner.

And I hope it's a good one.
Love the picture!

Aren't we all?

awesome picture.
it's especially hard to remember that Christmas is (less than!) two weeks away because the last couple of days it's gotten to be in the low 70s. lol

it's super-weird for me, as it will be my first Christmas away from my family...

Isn't it INSANE how quick this holiday is going? This is a great shot by the way and reminds me of one I saw at my favorite photoblog ( so that's really saying something :)

But Christmasis so fun! Woo! The picture is very pretty, by the way. =)

The thing that finally did it for me was baking cookies all day today...

Great pic, Chris. And worse than Christmas being so close is my wife's birthday is two days away and I haven't bought a thing! Uh, she doesn't wear perfume or jewelry, doesn't like to eat at restaurants, is allergic to flowers. I think I'm in trouble.

Ahh... I can't either.
I keep trying to forget too, but all the letters to Santa on my pillow at night, then revisions after that keep reminding me how close it is... I have a hard time breathing somethimes!
*I don't even have a tree up yet....*

Way cool pic!

Incidentally, why type of camera do you use?

Posted by: Lachlan at December 12, 2004 06:41 PM

Me too - I'm so late getting my stuff up I just put the tree up an hour ago. But I've got a pretty good excuse... what's yours?

I'm reminded of Christmas by eggnog everywhere. In my coffee, in signature holiday scents, in fat free and low fat varieties. Yummmmmmm. Eggnog.

Love the pic! Oliquig and I just finished decorating, and I love it!! However I still find myself going "it's what date already???"

Posted by: Nina at December 12, 2004 09:11 PM

Funny, according to my daughter, it can't come fast enough. For me...I could use a couple more weeks to prepare!

Great pic! I'm running real late this year. Just got the tree up this weekend. My high school daughter has just been buried in projects and activities, so she is struggling, too. But I'm catching up by ordering some gifts online. I just don't like fighting the crowds anymore. Last year my folks were ill and the holidays were understated, so I hope this year will be more fun. Hope yours will be super, too.

It's NOT right around the corner. It can't be because I have done NONE OF MY SHOPPING!

Posted by: DeAnn at December 13, 2004 01:39 AM

That's a beautiful picture. Looks like the Fish-Cactus household is in fine shape for the upcoming holidays (for those among us who will actually get time off! haha, yeap, I'm a martyr)
