Update: Monday Morning Blues(creen)

Keri just informed me that I shouldn't be surprised that today has sucked with such ferocity. It is officially the worst day of the year after all. And it has to be accurate...I mean, there's math and complex equations behind it.

As for the laptop? Well, a group of five burly guys dressed in all-black led by a large man with a small mustache, an eye-patch and a slow-burning cigar, just came in and forcefully removed it from my office. If I had to guess, I'd say right about now its strapped into an uncomfortable docking station in a dark, humid room under a bare lighbulb being taunted with magnets and cans of spray air. I hope it gives up my information before they start with the bamboo shoots under the keys and the dreaded Chinese floppy torture (you don't want to know *shudder*).

That's fuzzy math -- today, is a great day... it's over 30 degrees for the first time in like a million years ... for me, that's a good thing...

*sniff sniff* hockey! i miss hockey.. :( so sad...

anyways, ya damn snow. kept my suisse from being with me for another 3 1/2 hours... damn layover in minnesota got him stranded and away from me for far too long... why could he have been delayed on his way home to work?

ya so that is not the way to start off the worst day of the year dropping the love of your life off at the airport after only having seen one another for 2 days after 3 months since the last time... did that makes sense? I'm happy yet so sad... only one month until i get to see him again.

hope your laptop gets better soon.

Hmm, maybe it's technology-take-a-poop day, because my Blackberry? Dead. Deader than dead. Usually I avoid the help desk and just call the boyfriend, but he was of no help (apparently he has a "job" or something). Argh, not a fan of the help desk!

Well at least that explains why my car is dead. Not even the automatic locks work! Might be new battery time. And the worst part? You still have to work because we didn't get enough snow for a day off.

Luckily I haven't felt any effects of WDOTY. Unless you count tiredness and restlessness. I need a nap. Or a 3 day weekend. *grumble*

I'm with Bob on this one, after several weeks of -20 to -40, today is +6. I can't complain about that!

Ha! So it's not just a bad day for the mortals either - laptops cannot escape the wrath of the worst day of the year! For some reason that makes me feel a little better about my crapola of a day. I'll spare you the details, but can you hear it? Can you hear that faint sucking noise? It's my day. Sucking.

Posted by: Gweny at January 24, 2005 04:43 PM

that's RIGHT! damn. I was going around telling people about it and then i totally forgot and wondered why my day sucked so bad. i'm so dumb.

Sorry to hear about your Monday Blues(creen). My Outlook mail has now decided that it will now never ever shut down without me using ctrl+alt+del. Pfft.

Bad day or not, we just accepted an offer on our house. Good day for me!

This can NOT be the worst day of the year!! It is my 35th birthday and I will NOT let the fact that I'm older than sin be out shined by this BS! So, I've officially canceled the worst day of the year crap.

I heard that about today!! It explains a heck of a lot though. I read your previous post, we had about 18 to 20 inches here, we beat you heehee! Seriously Princess loves the snow, I posted pics of her in it. Get used to taking kids out in the snow soon it will be you :-)

Your poor laptop! I hope when it gets out of (escapes from) the small dingy room it's not too traumatized to funtion nicely. (I have to admit, the last part of your post gave me "1984" flashbacks.)

Sigh...The worst day of the year for me was last Friday! Glad it didn't get me today as well! Here I thought it was just the effects of the full moon! *grin*
