Inquiring Minds...Don't Want The Frigging Piano, They Want an Audioblog!

Fucking-a! Okay...I'm seriously trying to post an audioblog. One in which I answer questions, not play the frigging piano (is it wrong to use a form of "to frig" after you've already dropped the f-bomb?). Perhaps you heard the wrong one? Sheesh. Here. Listen to this. I swear its the right one. And if its not, just listen to me play the damn piano (I'm slightly embarrassed, okay?)

Since I've gotten my shit together, I did want to mention that these kind people provided the material. Thanks. I'm totally sorry I mangled the entry.

Just so you know, I'm answering questions from these fine folks - Annie, J. Tonic, ::c:: and Sabine.

Wow, this is so weird! Your voice is a lot deeper than I expected! (Don't ask me why I thought it was higher, no clue...). Anyway, the blog-following is probably due to a great sense of humor and a unique way of looking at daily life that makes anyone who reads it ( well, at least me...) look at things a little differently.

I am not so sure I like this post better! Hey, this time next week we will be working neighbors. Any chance we could have lunch one day and meet?

Posted by: goodsnake at June 27, 2005 06:24 PM

you should have stuffed MORE gummi bears in your mouth!

Posted by: jodi at June 27, 2005 07:02 PM

Your voice was deeper at the beginning, I swear. And I did not stop paying attention! Well...um. Ok, I really didn't mean to, it's just I was talking to someone on msn and...aw shit.

Posted by: Heather at June 27, 2005 07:08 PM

And wait...wha? I want to hear you play piano.

Posted by: Heather at June 27, 2005 07:08 PM

dork. eating audio blog? ummm....

And is it just me or is your voice deeper then before? Seriously, when I first heard it I went, "Wait? Chris... dude..." Has being pregnant changed your voice? Is this a weird puberty thing?

I miss gummi bears.

I was seriously waiting for you to say, "It puts the lotion on its skin or it gets the hose again." :)

WAHHOOO!! My wish came true! Thanks for the audio blog Chris!

Posted by: Lori at June 27, 2005 08:44 PM

Do I hear a hint of a southern accent? Just... ever so slightly? A tad. A wee bit. Just a smidgen.

Posted by: Halo at June 27, 2005 08:49 PM

I wasn't bored with your audioblog,... you have the blog following you do because people enjoy that contact with you,... and the gummi bear aspect was cute. I'd say more, but I just saw Yoda chewing on my shoe....

These audio blogs are something else. I am always surprised at how the blogger's voice sounds. It leaves me to wonder what people think I sound like.

Posted by: Nicole at June 27, 2005 10:04 PM

Wow! That was cool! I am a little flummoxed by hearing a blog friend's voice! I have to let this sink in . . .

Posted by: Gwen at June 27, 2005 11:13 PM

Yes, I agree with other commenters... your voice was much deeper than I imagined. Not that I thought you sounded like Elmo or Michael Jackson or something like that.

Personally, I can't decide if I like audioblogging. I tried it a couple weeks back, posted it, listened to it, and promptly removed it. Ugh, I sounded like crap.

But yours was nice.

Very talented

Posted by: kate at June 28, 2005 06:11 AM

I love you... :)

Posted by: stinkerbell at June 28, 2005 06:13 AM

Yep... deeper than I expected, too. Thanks! I may have to try that, since I'm still PAYING for the damn AUDIOBLOG.

Posted by: Stacy at June 28, 2005 08:20 AM

When you started talking, I thought, "My, he sounds like he has peanut butter in his mouth!" and as you continued, I was relieved when you said (1) you were eating, because then the odd gurble to your voice was then justified and (2) that you mentioned it was gummy bears because I, inevitably, would ask, "Whatcha eatin'"?

Audioblogging: genius idea.

That was interesting...I liked the audioblog answering-questions thing. :)

Don't know how I missed this entry yesterday, surprised JuJuBee didn't mention it. Audioblogs are my most favoritest. Anyway, I read it today and enjoyed it much. We love our Senseo, are getting some new flavors in our area soon, you probably already have them. At this point we're relying on friends who travel to Amsterdam frequently to keep our variety coming. Senseo coffee is especially good with Strope waffles from over there.
As for your readership, if more people knew of you, you could never handle all the attention you'd get! :-)

Hey, so here's a strange comment but one I thought you might like to hear, given the imminent arrival of the baby. My daughter's now four months old, and was acting all fidgety and whiny and I know all she really needs is a good nap. But it's hot and sticky and I can't imagine rocking her to sleep, so I put her on the couch next to me, handed her a doll, and hoped she would calm down a little. While we were sitting here, I put on this audioblog -- and she just tilted her head to the side and calmed right down. I am telling you, it was your voice that did it -- she wasn't calming down for anything else I did, and now that your recording is over she's starting back up again. Next time: a longer audioblog? Because now, I might have to play it again until she's asleep :)
