Monday Part Two

Is it me, or does it seem less like a Tuesday and more like Monday Part II: Monday Returns? I can hear the voice-over now...Monday's back and it's pissed. You'll never look at a week the same way again. Okay, okay...perhaps I'm being a little over-dramatic. But I don't want to be here doing what I'm doing today. At least my email seems to have been fixed overnight.

I'm sure I'll be more amusing later. But enough about me. How are you?

eh. i could be better. but, things could be worse, so i guess i'm ok. isn't that what it always boils down to though? usually i find that comforting. today i'm finding that slightly depressing. i say we pool our money and buy some lottery tickets, win big and blow this joint. well, not this joint because that would be your blog and we don't want to blow that [snicker]. uhm, the jobs. that's what i was referring to. THE JOBS! for serious.

Posted by: pea at July 12, 2005 09:06 AM

I'm feeling the same way... I think, at least for me, it's the coming back to work after a week's vacation thing, though.

Posted by: amber at July 12, 2005 09:07 AM

i'm a little stressed. i just dropped my son (3 yrs old in Sept) off at summer camp. i thought it would be great...all the free time to get things done, but instead i just feel anxious.

Posted by: Pinky at July 12, 2005 09:16 AM

think of monday like a fog... give it time and it'll burn off and tuesday will come shining through! not sure if that's good or bad, though.

we're doing alright so far today... considering i just cleaned a puddle of little boy pee off my expensive turkish rug. =)

Posted by: monique at July 12, 2005 09:23 AM

It's felt like a Monday everyday for about two months. Next week vacation - Thank God

Posted by: Lee at July 12, 2005 09:26 AM

That was all three days that I worked last week-Monday Part I, II, and III. So far today doesn't feel like its gonna be a part II. Course, the workday is only an hour old...

Posted by: christina at July 12, 2005 09:30 AM

I'm all for the lottery tickets....i'm going to Atlantic City this weekend for an early b-day bash....hopefully i'll win big and blow this popsicle stand! you guys can all come with!

working is a drag
lady back from being sick
suck it up take coughdrop

I thought the haikus were great! i read all of them this morning!! just thought i would add my little haiku even though it's a little late..the other lady that does intake appts. called off yesterday with a "sore throat" after taking off a week of vacation last week...coincidence? it's been done before.

Poor dear. We all hate days like that. Just march into the boss's (I'm sure that's spelled wrong but I can't think how to fix it) and tell him/her that HR has granted you a mental health day and you're going home. :D

Posted by: HR Mommy at July 12, 2005 09:51 AM

It's definitely a monday for me all over again. I can't wait for it to be over.

Posted by: ava at July 12, 2005 10:23 AM

Today feels more like a Friday to me. Too bad I have to work all week without a day off. Today is day number 5, when will Saturday ever get here?!!

Posted by: Adi at July 12, 2005 10:29 AM

I forgot about Sunday this week so I've been operating on Wednesday. This means I'm a day forward so it's harsh to hear it's Tuesday.

Posted by: Jessica at July 12, 2005 10:47 AM

I'm just glad it's not Wednesday, which I thought it was, because then I would have missed garbage day again. The darn raccoons mean there's a five minute window when you can leave your full can unmolested in the curb.

Posted by: Vicki at July 12, 2005 10:51 AM

Oh, I missed the haikus too! Dammit. Well, as you pointed out, it still feels like a Monday and so it's not too late to chime in:

Softly falling rain
Tuesday spent posting soft porn
Goin straight to hell

Well. Let's see. Today, I get to pick up a check for $500 for work that I've done but have yet to be paid for, which is nice. I apparently have freelance work coming to me, which unfortunately, has yet to be seen. Oh, and did I mention I'm still jobless? While having no job affords me the ability to do laundry at 11 in the morning and pack things away and clean out my closet, it does prevent more important things, like acquiring money with which to pay my bills.

Here's to hoping that Terrible Tuesday turns into Terrific Tuesday, making all of our dreams come true.

I'm super! Thanks for asking!!

I hope tomorrow isn't like Monday: Part 3 for you. That would be horrifying, man.

I'm just FREAKIN' FAB-U-LOUS! *snap*

(sorry. went into drag queen mode.)

Posted by: mooalex at July 12, 2005 11:24 AM

It really should be Friday. It's as simple as that.

Feels like Groundhogs Day ;)

Posted by: Chrissie at July 12, 2005 12:16 PM

I started school again this week so every day is a special kind of torture. But, at least my week is moving forward...

Posted by: bmh at July 12, 2005 12:18 PM

I am perfect in just about every g*d damned way you can think. Except really.

Posted by: bhd at July 12, 2005 12:19 PM

hahaha that is what most of my tuesdays sound like.

though your voice over is probably better :)

Posted by: stinkerbell at July 12, 2005 12:23 PM

Umm yeah death to tuesday! i got to bed around 430 only to be at work at 8am... so damn tired but i can't blame anyone but myself dammit.

Posted by: angel at July 12, 2005 12:27 PM

I'm grumpy! I need my coffee. Or more to the point I need my sugared coffee. I am out of sweetener and I can't drink this swil without it, why is this crack- uh, coffee so needed but in fact taste like shit without the pink stuff. Grrrr.

Posted by: Nic at July 12, 2005 01:16 PM

6 shots of espresso in and still need more --- the 4 boys I work with have decided that today is a good day to do all that crap they haven't done in the past 6 months and my assistant is away on holiday; my Monday is lasting 48 hours ... and counting

Posted by: Kathryn at July 12, 2005 01:44 PM

Today DOES feel like Monday strikes back. Or Revenge of the Monday. I thought it was just me.

How am I doing? How nice of you to ask. Today I'm just existing. Will get through the day. Maybe. If not, I'm taking a few people out with me.

Posted by: Grace at July 12, 2005 01:53 PM

at work....grumble grumble....wishing it was Friday...actually wishing it was July 27th...my last day of work before a two week holiday...
If only I was a scientist....or a time-machine expert....or if I was ShAGGING a time-machine expert

I agree completely. Tuesdays are worse around here because we run payroll. Not that getting paid is a bad thing, but the people who are actually running the checks through the printers are people who also answer the phones and make my job easier. Since they are running payroll, they aren't on the phones and I have more issues to deal with. Actually, the best work-week day is Thursday.

My joints ache, and I think my toes are curling under. Other than that, with Beth worrying about my doc appointment this week, I'm good.

Posted by: etherian at July 12, 2005 05:50 PM

Today has been a drab day for me. It does feel like Monday, but then again, I'm unemployed so everyday seems the same.

Posted by: Milly at July 12, 2005 06:25 PM

We tried to win big at the casion on the Taos Pueblo Reservation this weekend, but there wasn't much to win. So we're going to lose the kids and try to win big in Cripple Creek or Blackhawk this weekend and try to diminish some of the "Everyday feels like Monday except Saturday and Sunday" feelings we've been having lately. Must be the warm weather begging us to come play at the pool everyday!
