Three Glorious Words

There are three glorious words relevant to today: Working, from, and home. This allows me to spend less time with people who annoy me and more time with this.

Of course, during a break in working this morning, I was put on song duty so Beth could get dressed and eat breakfast like a normal person. This morning's song went something like this:

Hello, Mia...
I hope you like this song even though you don't speak English and don't know what I'm talking about.
Hello, Mia...
You sure do have a good grip on my armpit hair.
Hello, Mia...
Let's go back over here and make sure no one from work is IMing me.
Hello, Mia...
Oh shit, sorry, didn't mean to trip over the cat like that.

You get the drift. I can play a guitar but I never said anything about being a good songwriter. Anyway, despite the fact that I was up and working by 6 so I could review something that was due a half hour ago, I had a little time to update Flickr so, go check out the updated Mia set as well as all my favorites I pulled aside this morning.

These are lovely pictures, Chris. I had seen some on Beth's place - it's hard to get enough visuals on this beautiful new life.
Now, I didn't want to say anything BEFORE the fact but I certainly thought/remembered it: The once worshipped cat gets takes a pedestal tumble during these early months...

I love how all the photos in your Flickr set are titled Mia! :) She's too precious.

Mia is just so sweet! Chris, were you even half way prepared for how much you love this little girl? I have to say that I am mighty impressed that you are getting any work done. Enjoy your weekend with your girls!

Oh, and I see *my* favorite made it to your favorites set as well. ; )

good thing she doesn't speak english cuz, for shame, you said shit!

my mom didn't care one bit about us cursing as kids which of course meant it was no fun and we hardly ever did it. go figure.

The wise Ms.Q ( said, "I am starting to figure out that what the Beatles said applies to blog love: The love you take is equal to the love you make."

So, I wanted to stop by today and just say "Hi" because I enjoy your blog, but don't stop often enough and leave a comment. Also, I wanted to invite you to contribute to my "Bloggers Summer Photo Album." Read more about it at I hope you'll want to share your summer fun with the Moo!

(Yes, this is a "form comment," but I mean every word! I swear!)

(I've probably said this before, but y'all are just too damn cute. Stop that... you're making it hard for the rest of us non-cute people.)

(Just kidding... keep being cute.)

You know what sucks about vacation? It's over so quick. I need that work at home option more often, I think.

You sure can take great pictures.

I'm working from home too. Great, isn't it?

I'm going to say something which may make me terribly unpopular and hated but... I've always though babies are ugly. All babies. I don't think they get cute until they're over a year old. Now, I told you that so I can tell you this:

Mia has changed my mind about babies. She may just be the cutest, loveliest little thing in the whole world. Almost makes me want one of my own. Almost. Not quite. Almost. heh

Posted by: Halo at August 12, 2005 02:21 PM

Working from home. How wonderful. Even more so when there's a little baby to coo at between bouts of drudgery.

Posted by: hr mommy at August 12, 2005 03:36 PM

That's how my songs turn out. So I know how you feel.

But what?! No 'face sleeper' pictures?!! I'm shocked! I thought that'd make your favorites list for sure. It makes mine! :)

Posted by: Kitty at August 12, 2005 08:16 PM

she is one beautiful little girl.

Posted by: suze at August 13, 2005 12:12 AM

My god. My baby girl is 17 years old now. She was a gorgeous baby. I'm quite prejudiced about that, of course. I admit it freely. She's still gorgeous. Of course.

But your baby? Stunning. Completely stunning. Absolutely, gorgeously, knock the socks off stunning.

Posted by: Keri at August 14, 2005 03:11 PM

That girl is gorgeous....her mom really must have some strong genes! :)
