Tales From The Bouncy Chair

We (and by "we" I mean "Mia") are not too sure about the bouncy chair, the low-to-the-floor chair that vibrates and bounces up and down. The cats, however, totally dig it. Our largest, Pixel, the 20 pound beast, resides in it much of the day. Although we've learned that he's just a tad confused by the vibrate feature. The only thing Mia seems to really like about the bouncy chair is the green hippo-thingy. Its biological origins are unclear.

oh i've seen those things. i was mildly disturbed by the vibrate feature.

They didn't vibrate when I had my first. My second, however, loved the vibrate, but not until he was around 4 months old. Give it time. The cat will thank you.

LOL - Sierra loves hers, as long as she has a view of the milk machine while she's in it - if the milk machine is outta sight, then watch out - all hell breaks loose!

Freaky. I have an almost identical picture with my black cat as well.

What is it with them and bouncy chairs? :D

man, I want a vibrating bouncy chair for myself!

Cats are so funny. Buy them some wonderful, expensive thing from the pet store designed just for them, and they don't even want to be in the same room with it.

But Mia's chair - now that's a different story.

Wow - must be something about that hippo. Gi is content to sit in it when we're eating or showering though it's not her favorite place to be, and she focuses ALL her energy on grabbing or kicking...that green hippo. She doens't even seem to see that red mirror or elephant. Doesn't look that different to my adult eyes, but I guess the girls know something we don't. :)

At least someone's getting some use out of it.

One time I thought I sat on a bouncy sofa which made me fart, but when it started to talk I got up and screamed because I was sitting on my big brothers head! I hope I never sit on a bouncy sofa again!

Hi Chris! I hope you and your family had a nice weekend, and that you didn't sit on any heads!

turtle never dug the bouncy seat.

He was a big fan of the activity saucer... even at an early age. I started putting him in there and propping him up with blankets at six weeks.

all about the saucer at snidge's house.

I was just looking at pictures and realized that you guys ALSO have a peg perego stroller/car seat! We even got the red and black too! Figured the kid's gear ought to resemble ours. We aren't frilly people so it was nice to find a top rated "travel system" with some style. How's it working for you?

That hippo thingie doesn't look anything like you, so that at least rules you out as the biological origin. Feel better now?

Mia's a little small yet to appreciate the vibrating bouncy chair. In a couple of months she'll love it! Both of my daughters lived in theirs for a couple of months.

When the girls got old enough their baby dolls inherited the bouncy chair and one time my youngest, who was 4 at the time, said "Whew, mama, I finally got the baby to be quite by sticking her in the bouncy seat!" It was funny because I had said the same thing to my mother years before when I stuck Amber in the same seat!

LOL! That is hysterical.

Alert! Alert! That is no cat. That is a BEAR living among you CactusFishes. A cute bear, I'll grant you, but a bear nonetheless.

Funny, I thought was looking at a picture from my house. Then I remembered I don't have a black cat. And 2 of our 3 look fatasses.

well, once Mia reaches a month or two old, she should be living in the bouncy chair. And the vibrate feature is heaven, give that kid a bottle, then stick her in the BC with the vibrate feature, and momma can nap. Cuz baby is going to fall into a deep deep sleep.(in my experience) i always set mine on the table if i was near by cooking or something. But the bouncy chair my boy had had lights and a kickpad that lit up the lights. And music when he kicked Also, some things that rattled. He is a kicker though. still.

being above ground kept the cats out of it. and me happy.
