The Long Weekend So Far

Uh, hi. I'm still alive. All is well. The long weekend is going by swimmingly. Did I just say "swimmingly"?

Mia, Beth and I had dinner at my parents' house this evening. Mia behaved and, when she didn't, grandpa came to the rescue. I almost thought I was going to have to throw down with the guy to get her back. Give the baby back or we're gonna go, old man! or something like that. Luckily, it didn't come to that, although he seemed pretty happy that he'd gotten to spend some nice quiet time with Mia.

Anyway, for those of you who have long holiday weekends, I hope you're enjoying them. For those that don't, well, I hope your work-week starts out okay. Look out for pictures tomorrow.

Ya know, you can tell you're a first-time parent, because you didn't just let Grandpa keep her as long as he wanted to! There will come a day when you will rue that! Rue it, I tell you!

:-) You'll soon learn to let the old people keep your child for a looooooooooong as they want to.

Glad to hear your weekend is going so well and that Mia got to have to quality time with her grandparents. Me, I just left all my homework--including a 6 paged paper--until the last minute. As usual.

You know what, though? It was worth it. :)

Glad to hear you had a good weekend.
Isn't it lovely to see someone be (almost) as crazy about your little girl as you are? Doting grandparents rock! (In moderation! ;-) )

Have a great week!

Agreed with everyone who said pretty soon you'll be more than happy to leave the little one with the grandparents. We now look forward to weekend sleepover with Grandpapas so we can have a bit of quality grown up time. (Translation, we can go to bed and sleep in until 7:30.)
