Lessons From Dadhood: Episode Three
Lesson Eight: One Size Does Not Fit All and
Lesson Nine: Sometimes Dads Go A Little Nutty
I think this speaks for itself. Don't worry. I'm not at all tempted to try on a onesie. Posted by Chris at September 13, 2005 07:19 AM
those look really nice on you!!!! wear em to work today, LOL!!!
Posted by: lizabetty at September 13, 2005 07:24 AMhehe... been there, done that... you are now officially a parent, congrats! when is that wee little one gonna sleep through the night for you poor sleep-deprived souls?
Posted by: misifoota at September 13, 2005 07:26 AMLOL! Pink is your color, nice feet btw.
Posted by: Cindy at September 13, 2005 08:01 AMMonday really took a toll on you, didn't it?
Dude? You said you're not trying on the onesies... how about the diapers?
Posted by: jen at September 13, 2005 08:11 AMThat's a lovely color on you!! You and Mia can go shopping together when she gets older and try things on! LOL
Posted by: Michelle at September 13, 2005 08:23 AMLOL - that's too cute. But seriously - I think you need a day off from work!
Posted by: Marie at September 13, 2005 08:25 AM*giggle* Its a good look for you.
Posted by: Betty at September 13, 2005 08:36 AMWow, you really kept your promise! This post IS way more entertaining!
Posted by: nina at September 13, 2005 09:00 AMI hope you don't get any "foot fetish" sickos in here. They'd have a field day with this one! Mia any closer to sleeping all night? It's odd, Maddie will sleep 8 hours one night and then be up every hour the next. I don't even remember sleeping through the night.
Posted by: JuJuBee at September 13, 2005 09:02 AMHee hee. C'mon, try on the onesie...
Posted by: Fraulein N at September 13, 2005 09:29 AMthank gawd you put them on your toes ......

If you got four more pair, you could have some really interesting foot apparel this winter. All the dads would be doing it! Vapid celebrities would wear the cashmere version, but you get the idea.
And there are onesies for adults, but grown women prefer to call them catsuits or bodysuits. You could try one of those, but I would advise to only do it in the privacy of your own home. Beth would surely be entertained.
And that is SO your color. :)
Posted by: Bonanza Jellybean at September 13, 2005 09:50 AMVery cute!
On a different subject - OMG I never knew how much baby stuff costs! Our next door neighbor is a Red Cross worker and she's taking care of two 4-week old twin boys who's parents got lost in the hurricane. J and I went and bought 2 big packs of diapers, wipes and some formula to give to her and I had sticker shock. Then J mumbled, "At these prices, we may have to skip having a kid..." I almost agreed with him. *Almost.*
Posted by: Kitty at September 13, 2005 09:55 AMhmmm... mr. cactus in a onesie.
i think i'd pay money to see that.
(did i write that out loud?)
Posted by: monique at September 13, 2005 09:58 AMOnesie! Onesie! Onesie! ;)
Posted by: alfredsmom at September 13, 2005 10:00 AMIt truly is amazing how you and I are alike. I took this picture of Mason's sock a mere nine days after his birth - amazed at how tiny a human foot can be!

I really dig your spin on this with socks on the big toes!
"Stay away from the onesie...step away from the onesie...put the onesie DOWN, sir."
Blog on!
Sam
I think you should try blue or green. The pink doesn't really suit you.
Posted by: Queen of Ass at September 13, 2005 10:15 AMheh. Great picture.
Posted by: Polichick at September 13, 2005 10:38 AMAlthough, if you did, I would pay good money to see it.
Seriously....I would.
I'd probably point and laugh as well
tres jolie! i think you should go for the striped ones they might make the big toes look slimmer ;)
Posted by: angel at September 13, 2005 11:03 AMThat is so cute I can't stand it!
Posted by: Sue at September 13, 2005 11:06 AMAwwww, I like 'em! But why would you just buy them for your big toes? Why not the rest of your toesies? They get cold too!
Posted by: Co at September 13, 2005 11:07 AMHey, great color on you! Just a note though...if you do try on a onesie, PLEASE don't take a picture of it, okay?
Posted by: zanie at September 13, 2005 11:59 AMokay, agreed about the onesie, that would just be wrong, but what about the "bear" bottoms as showcased on "The Fish Said"??? =)
Posted by: Kathryn at September 13, 2005 12:04 PMSnAzZy!
Hey...them pretty nice feet! I'm impressed!
Posted by: VirgoJen at September 13, 2005 12:08 PMYou have nice feet. I've seen some nasty ne in my line of work - yours don't scare me. :)
Posted by: Autumn at September 13, 2005 12:09 PMTo this day, my dad tries to steal everything I buy. Even if it means stretching out my shoes and shirts.
It's one of the things I love most about him :)
Posted by: Rhonda at September 13, 2005 12:11 PMPink is your color! This entry was adorable and HILARIOUS! Found you through VirgoJen, she is one of my internet/irl best friends! I had of course known of you before seeing you on her blog, you are a Blog King after all but wanted to drop a note and say hello real quick!
Loved this entry!
your carpet looks incredibly soft.
i was looking at the dining hall menu on-line today (for school lunches) and one item was Cajun Fish and i had to do a double take as i thought it was "Cactus Fish" for a second. oi... too much time reading blogs really takes its toll
Hmm... first thought to cross my mind: you've got pretty nice man-feet. So many men have gnarly feet/toes, but yours look pretty darned OK! Congrats :)
(I promise I'm not a closet foot fetishist! Just someone who's overly concerned with details.)
Posted by: Jen at September 13, 2005 03:03 PMHee!
Posted by: Martha at September 13, 2005 03:10 PMYou were sucking on a pacifier when you took that picture, weren't you? ;-)
Posted by: Y at September 13, 2005 04:08 PMYou just need 8 more, and you'll have started a fad with all the teenaged girls growing sick of todays current toe socks.
Posted by: Theresa at September 13, 2005 05:12 PMFor gawd's sake Chris, get a grip... I've seen you with a binky already, don't make us suffer through the lacy bonnets (do they even make them anymore???) Actually, this took guts AND imagination. I'm surprised Mr. JuJu hasn't sported this look. Seriously.
Posted by: JuJu's Mom at September 13, 2005 06:04 PMman, you sure are learning a lot. I love your "lessons" posts.
Posted by: kalisah at September 13, 2005 06:16 PMat least there's no poop on them...(thought i'd keep that train rollin a bit longer...)
Posted by: Amy at September 13, 2005 07:48 PMHee-hee...
You have hairy toes.
One of your jeans-hems is turned up, and the other one isn't.
Your toenails are jagged. Need to trim!
I'm so observant. :)
Posted by: Zandria at September 13, 2005 08:39 PMi think your socks shrunk in the dryer...
Posted by: tiffanie at September 13, 2005 09:55 PMTwo things...I tried commenting last night but it wouldn't let me...my computer error I think(?) And second, if you do ever get an inkling to try on that onesie, be kind and skip the photo op. Thanks ;)
Posted by: Kate at September 13, 2005 11:37 PMGosh that's cute.
Posted by: Heather at September 14, 2005 01:26 AMtoo cute!
Posted by: wendy at September 14, 2005 03:19 AMI think blue would suit you better.. ;)
Posted by: sara at September 14, 2005 05:01 AMI don't know...you could really start a fashion trend here. I can see this look taking off with rapper community.
Posted by: Nicole at September 14, 2005 05:22 AMI think you really do want to try on a onesie. I think that's why you mentioned it. It's ok. I won't tell.
Posted by: Gweny at September 14, 2005 06:45 AMThat's a really good look for you.
Posted by: RockStar Mommy at September 14, 2005 08:46 AMhow about the pajamas with the built in footsie things? those were fun to slide around the house in. ;)
