Snowy Friday

This morning, after rolling out of bed and feeding the cats, I looked out the window to find a few inches of snow on the ground and more on the way. I'm working from home today and being able to avoid a crappy commute pleased me greatly. So, here I sit clutching a cup of coffee attempting (in vain) to be marginally productive. Happy Friday to all.

*pout* Forrest had to go in... said the bus almost got stuck! You're so lucky to be able to work from home! I'm stuck at home all day now b/c Forrest has the good car (w/ the chains in case the weather gets too bad)

I unfortunately braved the mean, snowy streets to make it to work this morning. Stupid commitment to my job...

Hope you have a Happy Friday!

Well thank you, and a Happy Friday to you as well!

Funny, Beth just posted about how snowy days made her miss the office. I'm sure she'll be glad to have your company today :o)

Good for you...seriously, the commute into work today was crapola (I live in Michigan and we got hit with about 6 inches, some of which was not plowed when I ventured out), so I applaud you for your decision to stay home. May it be a Happy Friday for you and a good weekend!

Have a great snow day:)

Happy Friday! We woke up to 1/2 a foot of snow too! Yippee! I love snow days - even more when I don't have to drive. Have a great weekend!

hahaha! me? not. missing. the. snow. happy friday.

p.s. for some reason that pic of you reminds me of the grim reaper. something about the eyes... or the black areas where they should be. :-|

You look like I do right now with my coffee in hand trying to read your blog and wake up to get dressed to go to work. ... Oh E Oh! ...

man, i'm jealous. we don't have anything but stupid old sunshine here.

Posted by: jodi at December 9, 2005 10:24 AM

Good luck with that. Let me know how it goes ;-)

Stay warm.

I'm doing the same.

Nothing better than staying home when the rest of the world has to trudge out in the snow.

You have nice hands.

Ooh, I wish we had a few inches of snow. Our "snow storm" last week didn't even stick. I'm sooo jealous of your snow but now I can say I'm not jealous of you working from home now. ;)

Enjoy your day. Sounds more like a day for cuddling with Beth and Mia, not working!

Happy Friday.

Good Luck with that productivity stuff. I know how it is now that I am home and look, instead of tackling that mountain of laundry I'm reading your blog. Time better spent in my eyes anyway! Happy Friday. Stay toasty!

I love "snow days". Of course we don't get too many of them in Seattle. But if/when I see one little snowflake, I call in and say I'm not coming in to work (even though I was raised in "snow country" and could drive in the snow with my eyes closed!)

I hope Beth and Mia keep you warm today.

Happy Snow Day! I'm taking the day off, too, and admiring the snowiness here in Chicago. I'm also very, very thankful I don't have to drive anywhere.

*sigh* I am jealous of both your snow and your ability to work from home. Hope it was a good one.

I love this picture. It's a cold image, but there's a very special warmth to it.

Great photo. This was a WEIRD Friday (I say "was" even though it's not over...I suppose I could still cram another coupla hours of bathrobe living into this sucker). Kids acting out at school being brought in for discipline...parents charging into the office up in arms about stuff (a rarity, normally)...and the topper: my fairly-new PC suddenly emitting SETI-like sounds to the point that it was really creeping me out until it grew louder and louder and then just...died.
