Pay No Attention To The Man Behind The Coffee

I'm greedy. I know - kinda opposite of the Christmas spirit. I'm off all next week yet I decided to work from home today. In my defence, there will probably be a grand total of three people in the office and it's not like I've got a hell of a lot to do anyway. So, for the time being, I'm just going to hide behind my cup of coffee and hope no one needs me.

Activity in the InterWebAlGoreOSphere has dropped off of late. Probably everyone headed out of town to be with relatives or just hanging out with their families. I'll be here, blogging as always. But if we don't run into each other before, I hope you have a wonderful holiday. Thank you for being a part of my world.

So do I undestand from this picture that you actually WENT OUT INTO THE COLD to buy coffee despite the fact that you are working from home today? wow, that's dedication....

Posted by: wn at December 23, 2005 07:32 AM

Merry x-mas to you and your cute little family, "man behind the coffee"! ;)

I'm off to the future in- laws. Buh bye!

I am in the office today to, pretty much alone.
Just me and a dozen guys out in the shop. You can look for a few mindless entries on my blog before the end of the day.
I was thinking of having my mom call every hour or two just make sure I am still awake.

Hope you and yours have a wonderful holiday, and enjoy your week off!

Posted by: Beth in StL at December 23, 2005 07:58 AM

i've always wondered ... this working from home thing: how do you go about that? do you have to ask someone or do you just tell people you'll be working from home? your work sounds awfully flexible about that. that's nice.

Posted by: pea at December 23, 2005 08:11 AM

Mmmm - Dunkin' Donuts coffee.

Oh - sorry - I was distracted. I'll be in the office today to do a grand total of nothing. Maybe catch up on some posts at DadCentric and at Mr. Big Dubya. I really should take advantage of working from home more often.

Happy Holidays to you, Beth and Mia.

Merry Christmas, Chris.

Happy Hoildays to you your family! I too will be on vacation until the 3rd, so I don't plan on using the computer until then. I'll have to read all of your posts when I return to work!!! Pray for lots of snow for all the snowmobiliers out there!!!!! Ho! Ho! Ho!

Posted by: spinner at December 23, 2005 08:34 AM

I aspire to work from home one day! I'd think one would have to be very self-disciplined, though, not to end up on the couch, clutching the phone or running to check email during commercial breaks.

A very lovely (first!) Christmas to the Mia Bean, and I hope you and Beth have a wonderful holiday together.

Posted by: samantha at December 23, 2005 08:36 AM

I'm still here, like a loser with nowhere to go (actually, a ton of places TO go, but nowhere I CAN go unless I want to lug around two screaming children with me and I'll pass on that, thank you.)

Merry Christmas to you and Beth and Mia :)

Posted by: monique at December 23, 2005 09:31 AM

Happy holidays, Chris. All the best to Beth and Mia. Thanks for giving me much entertainment over the past year. Looking forward to more good times in 2006. Rock on!

Hope you didn't spoil Mia too much (even though I am pretty sure you did). And it never ends. For my 17-year-old Leaf fan of a son (where did I go wrong?) I got him tickets to see those Leafs play but not in Toronto. That would be too easy (and expensive). No, instead I got a pair of tickets to see said Leafs play - in Pittsburgh, on the 27th. So we are going to be on a father-son road trip down to PA. Look out, US of A.

Thanks for all of your wit and charm and excellent music recommendations (Imogen Heap is starting to grow on me - next project the Catherine Wheel and Rob Dickinson). Hope you and yours have an excellent Holiday season.

Still here reading and -updating, and man now I want a cup of coffee. However, I am a lucky dog and off work today and Monday so I will not venture out into the cold - flannel and doggies are much more enticing!

Merry Cactusmas! It's my new holiday tradition. I worship at the altar of RC. I have my shrine all decked out in all it's sparkly, shiny glory! This coffee photo will make a nice centerpiece for it!! Thanks!

I was having delusions of productivity earlier this morning but once I checked bloglines, that dream was dashed! Sadly, not many people are posting and, like you said, traffic is down. I will have to find other ways to amuse myself in the office today! Not like that. I mean, read a book or something.

Have a wonderful holiday with your family, Chris!

Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy! I hope it's one of many more MERRY ones to come.

BTW, I'm still here, a-readin' ya.... just been a little laid up as of late. You can keep blogging -- I'll be here reading!

That's one thing the East Coast definitely has going for it - Dunkin Donuts. MMMM! It has been... geez... 7 years since the last time I was out there and it is hell when I get a craving for a Vanilla Coffee Coolatta. Oye... I feel one coming on now, haha. The only thing we've got out here is Krispy Kreme and I've never ate from there; somehow, it just hasn't had that same "pull" as DD has!

Anyhow, I hope you and the gorgeous ladies of the house have a wonderful holiday together. Enjoy your time off! :) And thank YOU for inviting us into your corner of the world and sharing it with all of us. It's most definitely a pleasure :). Merry Christmas!!!
