Drained (Or, TGIT)
I'm absolutely drained this week. So many things I have to get done. So many things I want to get done. Of course, there aren't enough hours in the day for them all. Where I'm usually awake without much of a fight, I've been sleeping through my alarm all week, dreading throwing my legs over the edge of the bed planting feet on the floor.
On the plus side, today, for me, is Friday. I'm cobbling together a long weekend by taking a few days off. Standing betwen me and the long weekend, however, are hours and hours of meetings. Hopefully, a little music will help me make it through the day. I give you the top 20 random music selections for the morning.

I feel the same way this week--so much to do and definitely not enough time to do it all. Unfortunately, if I want to listen to music in my lab, I'm stuck with the radio and the 1 station it picks up--an all talk sports channel.

I had a huge project thrown in my lap that has made me consider taking hostages and Haughty Melodic is the only thing preventing that.
Here's to you getting through your meetings without too much guff, finishing the day with some java and a smile & resftul and relaxing few days off.

Today is my Friday too... and the last day at my job. I start the New Thing on Monday! I'm excited, and kinda dreading the whole "moving" thing.

And to make it worse, I've been off all week and thinking it's one day later than it is. Today feels so much like Friday even though I'm not pulling a Cactus and taking tomorrow off, and that just makes the week even longer. It would look pretty suspicious to call in sick tomorrow and get a four-day weekend, huh?
I like all the music I recognize from your playlist (esp Mars Volta, Ben Folds, XTC, Mott...) so I'm using it to come up with a "music to check out" list. Hope you don't mind.

The only plus side was hearing that we might get the restaurant after all. So, wheee! Good news finds me!
