Hello, World

This morning, Mia decided she wanted to address you, oh Internetwebosphere. Then, well, she thought better of the idea. The audio's at the bottom.

*snicker* too cute. the both of you!

Posted by: Tricia at February 26, 2006 12:19 PM

That reminds me of the great idea I had this morning with my toddler! I thought, hey it's just the toddler and me so it's a great time to take some pics. Well, toddler had better things to do and in turn, the pics suck! oh well...

Posted by: Magnolia Mom at February 26, 2006 12:19 PM

OMG Chris that was so cute. Sad, yes. But cute.
I'm hoping now that we'll be hearing from Mia on a regular basis... And maybe on happier days or when you're not pinching her...

Posted by: JuJu's Mom Linda at February 26, 2006 12:20 PM

Awww poor Mia, don't cry baby, your Daddy will make the internets go away.

Posted by: Angelia at February 26, 2006 12:28 PM

She feels the same way about crowds that I do.

Posted by: Queen of Ass at February 26, 2006 12:30 PM

Love the little 'blbllblblblblblbllblbllb' noise daddy was making to keep you happy! :)

Posted by: Amber at February 26, 2006 12:34 PM

Many times, I have thought, "It would be very fun if Chris and Mia did an audioblog TOGETHER." And now, I'm realizing that for the time being, this may not be the best idea, as we all only seem to make her angry.

I feel bad. We pissed off your kid. :P

Posted by: Emily at February 26, 2006 12:37 PM

Cute - maybe you could try for a giggle next time.

You just brought a huge ray of sunshine into my day! :) She doesnt sound too happy, but even in her discontent she's quite charming. As is your commentary, lol.

Posted by: Kestrel at February 26, 2006 12:52 PM

ha! That's excellent! More!

Posted by: jen at February 26, 2006 12:56 PM

You two are too adroable.

Posted by: Autumn at February 26, 2006 01:06 PM

that is priceless and adorable...

more and happier please :)

Maybe if you let her put it in her mouth that would be happier??

Posted by: stinkerbell at February 26, 2006 01:10 PM

You pinched her didn't you? ;-)

Posted by: Jazzy at February 26, 2006 01:25 PM

The exploitation has begun! :) That was VERY cute.

Posted by: Kris at February 26, 2006 01:31 PM

oh wow. i had to make the husband come in while i replayed this. "no, you seriously have to see this. i've been reading them since before they got pregnant with her, and this is just freaking hilarious!" aww. and cute. love hearing from mia!

Posted by: Sarcomical at February 26, 2006 01:55 PM

I shudder to think what the first two attempts sounded like... Adorable (as always). :)

Posted by: Marilyn at February 26, 2006 01:58 PM

even her cry is precious.

Posted by: kalisah at February 26, 2006 02:04 PM

It never fails does it. Rochelle was beautiful and happy for her Head Start "graduation", stayed for a few minutes, and burst into tears. We had to take her home. She'd been going there for two years. ???

Posted by: ann adams at February 26, 2006 02:17 PM

That was fantastic! Maybe along with playing the guitar you could get her singing because it sounds like she has some pipes on her.

Posted by: Beth in StL at February 26, 2006 02:38 PM

I could eat you both, you're both just too yummy. I think Beth would kill me though...I don't want her wrath on my hiney!

Posted by: Michele at February 26, 2006 02:39 PM

the internet scares me too.

Posted by: jodi at February 26, 2006 02:39 PM

She still has a tear in her eye in the photo. Perhaps she was upset because she wanted to do the intro, and you stole her thunder ;-)

Posted by: Dolly at February 26, 2006 02:42 PM

Aww, a little public speaking anxiety! That's OK, Mia, I feel the same way every time someone sticks a microphone in my face too.

Posted by: Jaycie at February 26, 2006 04:06 PM

is it sad that when I listened to that, my boobs totally started leaking? So yeah, we have enough of one crying baby, and I go and add another one by listening to that... hehehe... So adorable!

Posted by: Corinne at February 26, 2006 04:13 PM

Ohhh poor baby...look at the tears in those eyes. I hope she has recovered from the trauma. :)

Posted by: Colleen at February 26, 2006 04:17 PM

awww. that was SO CUTE!

Posted by: kara at February 26, 2006 04:42 PM

Bad dad BAD!! She is not a performing monkey!! Remember? You chose what was inside the box instead of what was behind curtain #2 GEEZ!

Posted by: Deepblue at February 26, 2006 05:33 PM

obviously she didn't care to share the spotlight. i've worked with kids for years and years and to my trained ear that cry sounded more like, "hey! you said i was gonna get to talk. what's with the long intro buster?!? i shall now make my disgust known."

let me know if you need me to translate anything else for you.

Posted by: patricia at February 26, 2006 06:03 PM

I'm thinking that that was the cry of "I really wanted to EAT this i-pod thing!" "I mean really, I think it goes in my MOUTH." "Give it here, you mean, mean, father!" :) Cute.

Posted by: wavybrains at February 26, 2006 06:22 PM

Chris, what are you doing to that poor child? hahahaha I needed this laugh tonight. Too cute!

Posted by: Dana at February 26, 2006 06:36 PM

Are there ANY guys who read/comment on this blog besides me?!

She certainly is getting big! And that's probably the LAST time I will be able to say the words "she" and "big" in the same sentence when it comes to describing a female.

Blogging is a great way to document and pay tribute to little miracles like Mia.

With that said...

Blog on!
Sam

I'm pretty sure it was our fault. As soon as your audio started to play my 2.5yo jumped up and screeched at the screen, most likely causing Mia to cry. 1,000 apologies; but really, it couldn't have been helped.

Posted by: Elaine at February 26, 2006 07:43 PM

Too cute! LOL!

Posted by: Theresa at February 26, 2006 08:52 PM

LOL, love it.

Posted by: Emily at February 26, 2006 11:15 PM

I need to get my speakers hooked up. Ahhh. LOVE the photo of you two. awwwww.

Posted by: Lisa B at February 26, 2006 11:15 PM

Awww... I think it was just a little stage fright. She'll do better with a little more experience. :)

Posted by: Laura at February 26, 2006 11:44 PM

This is such a beautiful picture of the two of you. And to hear you and Mia together is just icing on the cake. As always, you made me smile -- see, this is why you're one of my very favorite bloggers.

Posted by: Laura GF at February 27, 2006 12:02 AM

yeah, I can totally relate. Sunday nights make me want to cry too....so close to Monday, ya know? :)

Posted by: Dawn (webmiztris) at February 27, 2006 12:05 AM

That is tooo cute! And Oh, my God, you sound JUST like Woody Allen! Freaky! D'ya think there's money in that? Bet there is! :-)

Have a great week!

Posted by: Nynke at February 27, 2006 06:47 AM

LOL - that is fantastic! She's so adorable and I can tell how happy she makes you and Beth.

Posted by: betty at February 27, 2006 09:32 AM

Posted by: Bill at February 27, 2006 10:40 AM

i could hear the Woody Allen too... who we all know had a lover named Mia (for a while, before he found her daughter sexier)... ok I don't know where I was going with this. Adorable lovely audioblog and pic. :)

Posted by: brianna at February 27, 2006 11:24 AM

I think she's crying because she wants you to take your hands off her ipod. Oh wait, that would be my kid. Cute picture.

Posted by: Melissa at February 27, 2006 01:41 PM

ROFLMAO Chris you daughter is beautiful, adorable and very entertaining... Especially when she gets her Daddy to act like a goof, hehehe Great audio Blog... I also love the video of Mia over on Beth's site... so adorable!! I have got to take some short clips of Drew... What a Great Idea! Thanks for inspiring me.

Posted by: at February 27, 2006 01:43 PM

OMG THAT WAS HILARIOUS! If you didn't pinch her you probably took away the pacifier!! Meanie!! LMAO!

Posted by: Sabrina at February 27, 2006 03:49 PM

That was the single most awesome audio blog EVER!

Posted by: Halo at February 27, 2006 04:10 PM

Awwwwwww, how adorable.
It wasn't the internet she was afraid of, it was Bill Gates.

Posted by: dragonlady474 at February 27, 2006 06:22 PM

Aw, and the photo with tears in her eyes just kills me.

Posted by: erika at February 27, 2006 07:36 PM

Brava! Brava! Encore! Encore!

C'est Magnifique!

Posted by: Anni at February 27, 2006 08:15 PM

Wow. You really do have almost all female readers. I never noticed that before. Yeah, That was completely adorable, and I want mooorrree! Whenever Mia feels like it, of course.

Posted by: Heather at February 28, 2006 12:18 AM

Nice new dimension to hear you and you "happy" girl! What's next?

Posted by: Krista at February 28, 2006 07:01 AM

That is the cutest thing I have ever heard, even if she wasn't exactly happy. I know I am a few days late but I have a really good excuse, really... I was moving and didn't get reconnected til today, really. Check my blog, its all there...

Posted by: Cher at February 28, 2006 05:43 PM

Very funny. :) And I love the photo!

Posted by: Zandria at February 28, 2006 10:55 PM

I have a migraine, and I laughed. Thank you. Sorry Mia had to cry to get me to laugh, but thanks for the laugh.
