See: Dawn, Ass-Crack Of

Hey look! It's 3:00 AM! And I'm awake! Mia couldn't sleep so Beth asked me to give it a shot. It went something like this.

Beth: Hey, are you awake?
Me: Hrmopop blah digorydoo.
Beth: She's been awake since 1:30 and I can seem to get her to sleep. Want to take a shot?
Me: Jakep blek redogo quincy em dee.
Beth: Thanks.
Me: Mmmm-bop.

I guess it kinda worked because she's marginally (not totally) quiet. I think I'll have a donut.

Such a good hubby! Here's hopin' you all get to sleep in!

Looks like it's not quite 5:00 a.m. where you are and I hope this finds you sleeping. (If the donut will let you). I'd never get away with it.

Your blog just ate my comment. Do I hear a Thank God from the east coast? Doesn't matter, I sort of remember it.

I think I said:

Hope by now you're asleep again, that is if the donut will allow it.

I'd never get away with it.

Delete one of those if you wish. Your choice.

How very selfish of both of you to think you deserved sleep for the next 2 years, while poor Mia has to sit up late nights waiting for somebody to come play with her. Where are your priorities?

I think it was something in the atmosphere. My pups had me up at 1:30 this morning to go out and commune with nature! Of course here in the sticks it's sort of a dangerous thing, (bears, skunks, fox, fischer cats) so I think you got off easy with Mia. LOL

Well, I hope she stayed asleep so you could do the same.

Happy Sunday!

Mmmmm-bop? Just what were you dreaming about when she woke you up? :)

Nice of you to get up. Hopefully Beth got some rest. And Mia, too.

Oh, yeah, 3 o'clock is too early even for bags on the head. Hope you all got some more sleep.

She is lovely.;) I love your sleep deprived language! It gets better. :) Renee

Just when I had lost all hope, Madeline started sleeping all night around her first birthday (slighty after?) so don't give up. These night owls we have!

Posted by: JuJuBee at July 16, 2006 09:59 AM

I think Mia will always be keeping you up. If it's not waking at 3:00 a.m. then it'll be staying up till 3:00 a.m. with worry when she's a teenager. So you have that to look forward to!

Good morning :) I hope you got some sleep!

Awwww you're such a good husband :)

Yeah, that's about the same conversation Roth and I have when the dog needs to go out at 3 a.m. See, I'm a light sleeper, so I am always the one who wakes up to Sierra's pawing at the door. But I love to wake Roth up to tell him that she needs to go out, which he thinks is totally unfair, seeing as I was already awake, why make both our lives miserable? But why should I always be the one to stumble out to the backyard with the dog? This is a 50/50 relationaship we got going here.

All of this is just a preview of things to come when we have a kid down the road ... 'cept it'll be times a million, right?

My family thanks you for putting Mmmmmm-bop in my mind. I've been humming that all day.
Hope you all are rested up. Until tonight that is, right?
One word... benedryl.

Mmmm-bop? Wasn't that a boy band song in the 90's? Crap, I shouldn't know that.

Mark's been getting up early with our monsters and letting me sleep in. It's keeping me from hurting people due to lack of sleep, so you know, every little bit helps. As they say, If Mama ain't happy, ain't nobody happy.

Good man for taking your turn.

Beth must learn that need a full night's sleep in order to operate fully functional the next day so that you can properly provide for your family...and Mia will ultimately cry herself back to sleep - tough love!

Right there with you! And it scares me a little to think she still isn't sleeping for what I have to look forward to. I guess they really are in charge.

ahhh the things about infancy I do not miss.

Posted by: Pamalamadingdong at July 16, 2006 05:36 PM

Hey Ive had that same conversation with my husband!

Posted by: MrsJoseGoldbloom at July 16, 2006 05:50 PM

Ah, parenthood. Ass-crack sightings like this are the reason I've got a few gray hairs on my head.

Posted by: mamatulip at July 16, 2006 07:49 PM

Oh boy - it sounds just like the conversation we had this morning - only it was the other way around!

Posted by: Marie at July 16, 2006 08:27 PM

I knew you were a music junkie, but I never would have guessed Hanson would have been on your iPod! I suppose that's what makes your tastes so eclectic!

Posted by: Karen at July 17, 2006 12:11 AM

Digoreedoo, eh?...wow! I hear ya!

Posted by: haley-o at July 17, 2006 03:03 PM

Thank You for reminding me why I don't have a child. Then again most of the time I'm jealous of you.

Posted by: Pixie at July 17, 2006 04:03 PM

on top of everything today... now I have the Mmm bop song in my head...
God is trying to kill me :) At least I had great buddies like you right!

Posted by: stinkerbell at July 17, 2006 05:11 PM
